A Knoxville Tennessee poster built around the gold faceted sphere on its concrete stalk. Beside it stands a slim glass tower on an open steel lattice leg. Below both, the lawns, curving paths, stepped cascade and jet fountains of the fair park run down to the bottom of the frame, with the low downtown blocks behind and range after range of blue ridge on the horizon.
About the artwork
Flat vector shapes with hard edges, worked in far more layers than most city prints — the mountains alone are five overlapping bands of blue-grey. The sphere is the only warm thing in the picture: hundreds of triangular panels in amber, brass, honey and bronze with one white glare highlight. Around it the palette is cool — sage and forest green lawns and trees, pale sand and mint tower facades, turquoise fountain water, dusty rose flower beds. Typography is white at the top: KNOXVILLE in wide capitals, TENNESSEE spaced beneath. Portrait, 2:3.
Why you'll love it
- The gold sphere — nothing else in Tennessee looks remotely like it, so the print names itself.
- Park in front, mountains behind — you get the city, the green and the Appalachian ridges in one composition.
- Warm against cool — a single amber object in a green and blue picture, which is why the eye keeps returning to it.
- Fountains and cascades — the foreground has real detail instead of a flat band of grass.
Sizes and materials
- Paper — archival matte, rolled and unframed. Nine sizes from 8" x 12" to 30" x 40", plus A4-A1 for European frames.
- Matte canvas — stretched on a wooden bar, no glare, ready to hang.
- Framed canvas — solid wood floating frame in white, black, espresso or natural.
- Pigment-based archival inks, rated to resist fading for decades indoors.
Styling it at home
The amber sphere makes this print easy to warm up: cream, oatmeal and clay walls all pick it up, and a natural oak or gold frame doubles the effect. On a sage or soft green wall the mountains and lawns take over instead and the sphere becomes a single spark. Brass lamps and rattan sit well nearby.
Shipping and care
Unframed prints ship rolled in a protective tube. Framed canvas arrives ready to hang. Keep prints out of direct sunlight to protect the colour, and dust canvas with a dry, soft cloth.
Questions people ask
What size should I get? The triangular panels on the sphere and the fountain jets both need room. 16" x 24" or A2 is a sensible floor; 24" x 36" or A1 over a sofa.
Does it come framed? Paper and matte canvas ship unframed. The framed canvas option arrives in a solid wood floating frame in white, black, espresso or natural, ready to hang.
What does the poster say? KNOXVILLE at the top in white capitals, with TENNESSEE in smaller spaced letters below.
Print & materials
Every design is made to order on one of three materials:
- Fine art paper — thick archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks. The choice if you already own a frame.
- Matte canvas — gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box. No glass, no glare.
- Framed canvas in white, black, espresso or natural wood — a slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted. Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms; white and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
Sizes run from 8 x 12 inches up to large statement pieces, plus A4, A3, A2 and A1 for standard European frames. The exact sizes available for this design are listed in the Size menu above.

Materials
Three ways to print it.
Same artwork, same colour-managed printing — the material decides how it hangs and how much wall it holds.
Fine art paper
Thick archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks.
- The most affordable option, and the one to pick if you already own a frame.
- Reads slightly softer than canvas.
- Ships rolled in a rigid tube.
Matte canvas
Gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box.
- No glass, so no glare — good for bright rooms.
- Holds a touch more contrast than paper.
- Boxed with corner guards.
Framed canvas
A slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted, in white, black, espresso or natural wood.
- Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms.
- White and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
- The usual choice for a feature wall — nothing to assemble.
