A Kitzbuhel travel poster made from the meadow above the town: yellow buttercups thick in the foreground grass, pastel houses and a dark onion-domed church tower gathered in the middle distance, and a wall of jagged grey rock closing the valley behind.
About the artwork
It reads in three depths, each with its own handling. Nearest, the flower meadow is drawn almost blade by blade — long grass in two greens with dozens of separate yellow heads standing above it, loosest at the bottom edge and tightening as it recedes. The middle band is the town, small but fully drawn: gabled houses in dusty pink, pale yellow, cream and blue, wide-eaved farm buildings with brown roofs scattered up the slopes, hedgerows, spruce, and the church with its bulbous dark tower as the one clear landmark. Behind it the ground rises in smooth green shoulders, and then the rock takes over — steep grey limestone drawn in hard facets, split by shadowed gullies with snow still lying in the highest of them, with a paler blue range further off. Cumulus sits along the top in flat cream shapes. Title in wide-tracked uppercase with Austria beneath. Portrait, 2:3.
Why you'll love it
- Summer in the Alps. A flowering meadow rather than snow, which is the less obvious version of this landscape.
- Pastel roofs against grey rock. The town is tiny and coloured; the mountain is huge and grey.
- Buttercup yellow. Scattered right across the lower third, so the warmth sits closest to the viewer.
- Made to order. Printed after you buy, colour-managed, never warehoused.
Sizes and materials
- Paper — archival matte, rolled and unframed. Nine sizes from 8" x 12" to 30" x 40", plus A4–A1 for European frames.
- Matte canvas — stretched on a wooden bar, no glare, ready to hang.
- Framed canvas — solid wood floating frame in white, black, espresso or natural.
- Pigment-based archival inks, rated to resist fading for decades indoors.
Styling it at home
The green is generous and the yellow is gentle, so it lifts a room without changing its temperature. It works on cream, sage or warm white walls, over a bed, a bench or a dining sideboard, and sits well with pine, wool throws and stoneware. Natural oak frames follow the meadow; espresso frames pick up the rock. It makes a clear contrast beside the Zell am See print, which trades this meadow for open lake water.
Shipping and care
Unframed prints ship rolled in a protective tube. Framed canvas arrives ready to hang. Keep prints out of direct sunlight to protect the colour, and dust canvas with a dry, soft cloth.
Questions people ask
What size should I get? Above a console or desk, 12" x 18" or 16" x 24". Above a sofa, bed or mantel, go 24" x 36" or larger so the print holds the wall.
Does it come framed? Paper prints ship unframed and fit standard frames. Choose a framed canvas if you would rather skip the framing shop.
What season is it? High summer — meadow flowers in the foreground and green pasture on the slopes, with snow only in the highest gullies of the rock.
Print & materials
Every design is made to order on one of three materials:
- Fine art paper — thick archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks. The choice if you already own a frame.
- Matte canvas — gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box. No glass, no glare.
- Framed canvas in white, black, espresso or natural wood — a slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted. Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms; white and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
Sizes run from 8 x 12 inches up to large statement pieces, plus A4, A3, A2 and A1 for standard European frames. The exact sizes available for this design are listed in the Size menu above.

- Reads slightly softer than canvas.

Matte canvas
Gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box.

- Holds a touch more contrast than paper.
- Boxed with corner guards.
Framed canvas
A slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted, in white, black, espresso or natural wood.
- Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms.
