A Kansas City Missouri travel poster taken from the high limestone terrace south of downtown. A pale stone balustrade and colonnade run across the bottom of the frame, a wide green lawn falls away below, Union Station sits square in the middle ground with its three tall arched windows, and the full downtown skyline stacks up behind it under an open turquoise sky.
About the artwork
Flat vector shapes, hard edges, and a strong sense of depth built by stacking bands rather than by perspective lines. Colours are cool and clean: a turquoise sky graded to paler blue at the horizon, warm limestone cream for the terrace and the station facade, two greens on the mown lawn, and a receding wash of grey-blue, slate and dusty brick red across the towers. The stepped art deco tower and a slim glass high-rise mark the centre of the skyline; small trees and street lamps line the boulevard between lawn and station. The type reads KANSAS CITY with MISSOURI beneath it, in white. Portrait, 2:3.
Why you'll love it
- The classic vantage point — the terrace view locals bring visitors to, not a generic street-level skyline.
- Three layers in one frame — stone terrace, open lawn, then city, which gives the print real depth on a wall.
- A station, not just towers — Union Station's beaux-arts arches anchor the middle and keep the skyline from floating.
- Bright and cool-toned — turquoise and green make it one of the easiest prints here to hang in a light room.
Sizes and materials
- Paper — archival matte, rolled and unframed. Nine sizes from 8" x 12" to 30" x 40", plus A4-A1 for European frames.
- Matte canvas — stretched on a wooden bar, no glare, ready to hang.
- Framed canvas — solid wood floating frame in white, black, espresso or natural.
- Pigment-based archival inks, rated to resist fading for decades indoors.
Styling it at home
Turquoise sky over cream stone reads crisp against white and pale grey walls, and it is one of the few prints in this set that also holds its own on a mid-blue wall. The sage green room in the photographs above picks up the lawn directly. A black frame keeps the skyline graphic and suits a home office; natural oak softens it for a living room.
Shipping and care
Unframed prints ship rolled in a protective tube. Framed canvas arrives ready to hang. Keep prints out of direct sunlight to protect the colour, and dust canvas with a dry, soft cloth.
Questions people ask
What size should I get? The skyline is drawn small and detailed, so anything under 16" x 24" loses the towers. Above a desk or console, 18" x 24" works; on an open wall, 24" x 36".
Does it come framed? Paper prints ship rolled and unframed. Matte canvas is stretched and ready to hang, and framed canvas comes in a solid wood floating frame in white, black, espresso or natural.
What does the poster say? The printed type reads KANSAS CITY with MISSOURI below it. Union Station and the terrace are shown but not labelled.
Print & materials
Every design is made to order on one of three materials:
- Fine art paper — thick archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks. The choice if you already own a frame.
- Matte canvas — gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box. No glass, no glare.
- Framed canvas in white, black, espresso or natural wood — a slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted. Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms; white and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
Sizes run from 8 x 12 inches up to large statement pieces, plus A4, A3, A2 and A1 for standard European frames. The exact sizes available for this design are listed in the Size menu above.

Three ways to print it.
Same artwork, same colour-managed printing — the material decides how it hangs and how much wall it holds.

Thick archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks.
- The most affordable option, and the one to pick if you already own a frame.
- Reads slightly softer than canvas.
- Ships rolled in a rigid tube.
Matte canvas
Gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box.
- No glass, so no glare — good for bright rooms.
- Holds a touch more contrast than paper.
- Boxed with corner guards.
Framed canvas
A slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted, in white, black, espresso or natural wood.
- Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms.
- White and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
