A Jackson Mississippi poster seen across the treetops of the capitol grounds. A copper-green dome on a colonnaded drum rises behind a long limestone building with a deep columned portico, and in front of it a wide park of mown lawn, criss-crossing footpaths and dozens of full-crowned oaks fills the bottom two thirds of the frame.
About the artwork
Flat vector shapes with hard edges and layered shadow, drawn from a raised viewpoint so the park reads as a series of green planes. The palette runs warm limestone and bone for the state buildings, oxidised copper green for the dome, three tones of forest, olive and grass green for the canopy and lawn, sandy paths, and a flat cerulean sky. Behind the capitol sit low mid-century office blocks in cream and pale grey with a strip of red brick. Typography is white at the top: JACKSON in wide capitals, MISSISSIPPI spaced out below. Portrait, 2:3.
Why you'll love it
- The dome, seen properly — the capitol is the subject, not a detail lost in a skyline strip.
- A park in the foreground — all those oaks make it read as a Southern city rather than any state capital.
- Green on green — the copper dome and the tree canopy answer each other across the print.
- Unmistakably Mississippi — useful if you want the state capital specifically, not one of the other towns called Jackson.
Sizes and materials
- Paper — archival matte, rolled and unframed. Nine sizes from 8" x 12" to 30" x 40", plus A4-A1 for European frames.
- Matte canvas — stretched on a wooden bar, no glare, ready to hang.
- Framed canvas — solid wood floating frame in white, black, espresso or natural.
- Pigment-based archival inks, rated to resist fading for decades indoors.
Styling it at home
This is a green print above all, so it likes warm neutrals: cream, oatmeal, or the sage wall shown in the photographs above, where the dome and the canopy sit almost tonally. On a terracotta or clay wall the limestone comes forward instead. Walnut and espresso frames suit the oaks; black sharpens the architecture.
Shipping and care
Unframed prints ship rolled in a protective tube. Framed canvas arrives ready to hang. Keep prints out of direct sunlight to protect the colour, and dust canvas with a dry, soft cloth.
Questions people ask
What size should I get? There is a lot of fine detail in the columns and the tree canopy. 16" x 24" or A2 is the smallest size that keeps it all legible; 24" x 36" or A1 above a sofa.
Does it come framed? Paper and matte canvas ship unframed. The framed canvas option arrives in a solid wood floating frame in white, black, espresso or natural, ready to hang.
Is this Jackson, Mississippi or another Jackson? This is Jackson, the Mississippi state capital, drawn from its capitol grounds. It is not Jackson Hole or Jackson Town Square in Wyoming, and not Jackson Square in New Orleans.
What does the poster say? JACKSON at the top in white capitals, with MISSISSIPPI beneath it. No other lettering.
Print & materials
Every design is made to order on one of three materials:
- Fine art paper — thick archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks. The choice if you already own a frame.
- Matte canvas — gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box. No glass, no glare.
- Framed canvas in white, black, espresso or natural wood — a slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted. Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms; white and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
Sizes run from 8 x 12 inches up to large statement pieces, plus A4, A3, A2 and A1 for standard European frames. The exact sizes available for this design are listed in the Size menu above.

Materials
Three ways to print it.
Same artwork, same colour-managed printing — the material decides how it hangs and how much wall it holds.
Fine art paper
Thick archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks.
- The most affordable option, and the one to pick if you already own a frame.
- Reads slightly softer than canvas.
- Ships rolled in a rigid tube.
Matte canvas
Gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box.
- No glass, so no glare — good for bright rooms.
- Holds a touch more contrast than paper.
- Boxed with corner guards.
Framed canvas
A slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted, in white, black, espresso or natural wood.
- Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms.
- White and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
- The usual choice for a feature wall — nothing to assemble.
