This Hilton Head Island watercolor print shows the red-and-white striped Harbour Town Lighthouse rising above the Harbour Town Yacht Basin, with Calibogue Sound beyond. It is an artistic, watercolor-style interpretation of Hilton Head Island, not an exact view of the island.
About the artwork
Fine ink lines define the lighthouse stripes, the railings and the sailboat masts, and the round basin reflects the red-and-white tower in blue water. Harbor blue and live oak green lead the palette, with white yachts and accents of red stripes, red awnings and pink-red flowers. The lighthouse stands just right of center, the basin is ringed by gray-roofed buildings with white rails, and the sound with a low distant island and sailboats fills the background. Wooden docks, yachts and a gazebo roof under a moss-draped live oak frame the lower left. It is late spring, and the left edge fades into rose-red and moss drips with splatter. "HILTON HEAD ISLAND" is set in spaced navy capitals across the top.
Why you'll love it
- Dolphin-watching boat. A tour boat full of passengers motors through the middle of the basin.
- Spanish moss. Gray moss hangs from the live oak that frames the scene.
- Striped reflection. The lighthouse stripes repeat in the still water of the harbor.
- Made to order. Printed after you buy, colour-managed, never warehoused.
Sizes and materials
- Paper — archival matte, rolled and unframed. Thirteen sizes in all: 8" x 12" through 30" x 40", plus A4–A1.
- Matte canvas — stretched on a wooden bar, no glare, ready to hang. 12" x 16" to 30" x 40".
- Framed canvas — solid wood floating frame in white, black, espresso or natural. 12" x 16" to 30" x 40".
- Pigment-based archival inks, rated to resist fading for decades indoors.
Styling it at home
The red, white and blue palette fits a coastal bedroom, a sunroom or a living room with navy, white and rattan. It is a lovely gift for a couple who honeymooned on Hilton Head or a family with years of island vacations behind them.
Shipping and care
Unframed prints ship rolled in a protective tube. Framed canvas arrives ready to hang. Keep prints out of direct sunlight to protect the colour, and dust canvas with a dry, soft cloth.
Questions people ask
Is this an exact view of Hilton Head Island? No. It is an artistic interpretation, and a few details on the lighthouse, such as the lantern color, are simplified.
What text is printed on it? Only the city name, "HILTON HEAD ISLAND," set in spaced navy capitals across the top. There is no other lettering on the print.
Print & materials
Every design is made to order on one of three materials:
- Fine art paper — thick 200 gsm archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks. The choice if you already own a frame.
- Matte canvas — gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box. No glass, no glare.
- Framed canvas in white, black, espresso or natural wood — a slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted. Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms; white and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
Sizes run from 8 x 12 inches up to large statement pieces, plus A4, A3, A2 and A1 for standard European frames. The exact sizes available for this design are listed in the Size menu above.

Materials
Three ways to print it.
Same artwork, same colour-managed printing — the material decides how it hangs and how much wall it holds.
Fine art paper
Thick 200 gsm archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks.
- The most affordable option, and the one to pick if you already own a frame.
- Reads slightly softer than canvas.
- Ships rolled in a rigid tube.
Matte canvas
Gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box.
- No glass, so no glare — good for bright rooms.
- Holds a touch more contrast than paper.
- Boxed with corner guards.
Framed canvas
A slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted, in white, black, espresso or natural wood.
- Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms.
- White and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
- The usual choice for a feature wall — nothing to assemble.
