This Hanoi watercolor print shows Turtle Tower on its small island in Hoan Kiem Lake, with the red Huc Bridge leading to Ngoc Son Temple. It is an artistic, watercolor-style interpretation of Hanoi, not an exact view of the city.
About the artwork
The tower is drawn with thin brown ink on its arched openings, over weathered beige-gray washes touched with moss green. The jade-colored lake is laid in horizontal strokes with vertical reflections, and willows hang in soft green lines. Lake jade and willow green lead the palette, with mustard-yellow French villas and accents of vermilion on the bridge and orange autumn leaves. The three-tier tower sits at the center, the curved red bridge reaches toward the temple roofs on the left and yellow villas and tube houses line the right. A lakeside walk with railings and lamps fills the foreground in early autumn, and drips and splatter mark the white border. "HANOI" is set in spaced navy capitals across the top.
Why you'll love it
- Morning tai chi. People practice tai chi by the lake while others sit on stone benches.
- Street vendor and cyclo. A vendor in a conical hat carries fruit on a shoulder pole near a red-topped cyclo.
- Curved red bridge. The vermilion bridge adds a bright accent against the jade-green water.
- Made to order. Printed after you buy, colour-managed, never warehoused.
Sizes and materials
- Paper — archival matte, rolled and unframed. Thirteen sizes in all: 8" x 12" through 30" x 40", plus A4–A1.
- Matte canvas — stretched on a wooden bar, no glare, ready to hang. 12" x 16" to 30" x 40".
- Framed canvas — solid wood floating frame in white, black, espresso or natural. 12" x 16" to 30" x 40".
- Pigment-based archival inks, rated to resist fading for decades indoors.
Styling it at home
The jade, green and mustard palette suits a living room, a dining area or a bedroom with rattan and warm wood. It makes a heartfelt gift for someone born in Hanoi or a traveler who lingered around the lake.
Shipping and care
Unframed prints ship rolled in a protective tube. Framed canvas arrives ready to hang. Keep prints out of direct sunlight to protect the colour, and dust canvas with a dry, soft cloth.
Questions people ask
Is this an exact view of Hanoi? No. It is an artistic interpretation of Hanoi in a watercolor-and-ink style, arranged to show the lake, tower and bridge together.
What text is printed on it? Only the city name, "HANOI," set in spaced navy capitals across the top. There is no other lettering on the print.
Print & materials
Every design is made to order on one of three materials:
- Fine art paper — thick 200 gsm archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks. The choice if you already own a frame.
- Matte canvas — gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box. No glass, no glare.
- Framed canvas in white, black, espresso or natural wood — a slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted. Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms; white and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
Sizes run from 8 x 12 inches up to large statement pieces, plus A4, A3, A2 and A1 for standard European frames. The exact sizes available for this design are listed in the Size menu above.

Materials
Three ways to print it.
Same artwork, same colour-managed printing — the material decides how it hangs and how much wall it holds.
Fine art paper
Thick 200 gsm archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks.
- The most affordable option, and the one to pick if you already own a frame.
- Reads slightly softer than canvas.
- Ships rolled in a rigid tube.
Matte canvas
Gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box.
- No glass, so no glare — good for bright rooms.
- Holds a touch more contrast than paper.
- Boxed with corner guards.
Framed canvas
A slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted, in white, black, espresso or natural wood.
- Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms.
- White and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
- The usual choice for a feature wall — nothing to assemble.
