A Greensboro North Carolina poster looking down from an upper floor onto a broad downtown street. The right side is held by a grand neoclassical building: a colossal white colonnade under a carved triangular pediment, capped by a steep green copper roof with dormer windows and a small cupola. Red brick and terracotta commercial blocks run away up the street, and mature trees crowd both pavements.
About the artwork
Flat vector shapes with a fine grain, built in stacked planes rather than gradients. The palette is a three-way split: verdigris green on the copper roof, chalk white and bone on the columns and cornices, and warm brick red, coral and terracotta across the surrounding blocks. Mid-green and olive foliage fills the middle of the frame, the asphalt is a soft grey-blue with white crossing stripes, and the sky is a flat cerulean with cream cumulus low on both sides. Small figures cross at the lights, and a handful of cars sit at the kerb. Typography is thin, wide-tracked capitals reading GREENSBORO with NORTH CAROLINA beneath. Portrait, 2:3.
Why you'll love it
- A city at street level and from above — high enough to see the roofline, low enough to see people crossing.
- Verdigris and brick — green copper against red masonry is the colour idea the whole print is built on.
- Piedmont, not the coast or the mountains — an inland North Carolina downtown rather than a shoreline or a parkway view.
- Plenty to find — dormers, the cupola, traffic lights, awnings and pedestrians all reward a second look.
Sizes and materials
- Paper — archival matte, rolled and unframed. Nine sizes from 8" x 12" to 30" x 40", plus A4-A1 for European frames.
- Matte canvas — stretched on a wooden bar, no glare, ready to hang.
- Framed canvas — solid wood floating frame in white, black, espresso or natural.
- Pigment-based archival inks, rated to resist fading for decades indoors.
Styling it at home
There is a lot of green in this one, so it settles best on a warm neutral: cream, oatmeal or a pale clay. Against the sage green wall shown with the black frame in the photographs above, the copper roof and the tree canopy tie straight into the paint. A walnut frame pulls out the brick tones instead. It reads well in a dining room or a study, where people sit close enough to pick out the small figures on the crossing.
Shipping and care
Unframed prints ship rolled in a protective tube. Framed canvas arrives ready to hang. Keep prints out of direct sunlight to protect the colour, and dust canvas with a dry, soft cloth.
Questions people ask
What size should I get? This is a detailed illustration with small figures and dormer windows, so 18" x 24" is the practical minimum. For a main wall, 24" x 36" upward.
Does it come framed? Paper and matte canvas ship unframed. Framed canvas comes in a solid wood floating frame in white, black, espresso or natural.
What does the poster say? GREENSBORO in wide capitals near the top, with NORTH CAROLINA beneath. The shopfronts and awnings along the street carry no readable lettering.
Print & materials
Every design is made to order on one of three materials:
- Fine art paper — thick archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks. The choice if you already own a frame.
- Matte canvas — gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box. No glass, no glare.
- Framed canvas in white, black, espresso or natural wood — a slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted. Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms; white and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
Sizes run from 8 x 12 inches up to large statement pieces, plus A4, A3, A2 and A1 for standard European frames. The exact sizes available for this design are listed in the Size menu above.

Three ways to print it.
Same artwork, same colour-managed printing — the material decides how it hangs and how much wall it holds.
Fine art paper
Thick archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks.
- The most affordable option, and the one to pick if you already own a frame.
- Reads slightly softer than canvas.
- Ships rolled in a rigid tube.
Matte canvas
Gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box.
- No glass, so no glare — good for bright rooms.
- Holds a touch more contrast than paper.
- Boxed with corner guards.
Framed canvas
A slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted, in white, black, espresso or natural wood.
- Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms.
- White and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
- The usual choice for a feature wall — nothing to assemble.
