A Great Basin National Park WPA poster of an ancient, twisted bristlecone pine with maroon and cream striations on a rocky slope, below a craggy gray peak and gold-lit clouds, set inside a cream border. The top line reads NEVADA · 38.98°N, 114.30°W · ESTABLISHED 1986; below the picture, GREAT BASIN NATIONAL PARK in chocolate-brown slab lettering, with the National Park Service bison seal.
About the artwork
The trunk fills the left side and arches overhead, and the eye travels across the rocky slope to the peak on the right. Low sun turns the bark maroon and gold against a cobalt sky. Some of the park’s bristlecones are close to 5,000 years old, among the oldest living things anywhere.
Why you'll love it
- Character and color. Maroon, gold and cobalt suit offices, studies and rustic-modern rooms.
- A finished edge built in. The cream margin gives it a framed look even in a thin frame.
- Thirteen sizes. From a desk shelf up to a full feature wall.
- Made to order. Printed after you buy, color-managed, never warehoused.
Sizes and materials
- Paper — archival matte, rolled and unframed. Thirteen sizes in all: 8" x 12" through 30" x 40", plus A4–A1.
- Matte canvas — stretched on a wooden bar, no glare, ready to hang. 12" x 16" to 30" x 40".
- Framed canvas — solid wood floating frame in white, black, espresso or natural. 12" x 16" to 30" x 40".
- Pigment-based archival inks, rated to resist fading for decades indoors.
Styling it at home
Weathered wood, leather and a gold accent suit it. Espresso or natural frames suit the tree.
Shipping and care
Unframed prints ship rolled in a protective tube. Framed canvas arrives ready to hang. Keep prints out of direct sunlight to protect the color, and dust canvas with a dry, soft cloth.
Questions people ask
What size should I get? 16" x 24" and up if it hangs alone; 12" x 18" works inside a gallery wall of several parks.
Does it come framed? Paper prints ship unframed and fit standard frames. Choose a framed canvas if you would rather skip the framing shop.
How is this different from your other Great Basin prints? This is the cream-bordered WPA poster: an ancient bristlecone below a craggy gray peak, with the park’s coordinates across the top. The vintage travel poster is a separate full-bleed design with white lettering; the screen print, retro, mid-century, panoramic, oil, watercolor, illustrated and landmark Great Basin prints are separate designs too.
Print & materials
Every design is made to order on one of three materials:
- Fine art paper — thick archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks. The choice if you already own a frame.
- Matte canvas — gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box. No glass, no glare.
- Framed canvas in white, black, espresso or natural wood — a slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted. Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms; white and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
Sizes run from 8 x 12 inches up to large statement pieces, plus A4, A3, A2 and A1 for standard European frames. The exact sizes available for this design are listed in the Size menu above.

Materials
Three ways to print it.
Same artwork, same colour-managed printing — the material decides how it hangs and how much wall it holds.
Fine art paper
Thick archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks.
- The most affordable option, and the one to pick if you already own a frame.
- Reads slightly softer than canvas.
- Ships rolled in a rigid tube.
Matte canvas
Gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box.
- No glass, so no glare — good for bright rooms.
- Holds a touch more contrast than paper.
- Boxed with corner guards.
Framed canvas
A slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted, in white, black, espresso or natural wood.
- Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms.
- White and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
- The usual choice for a feature wall — nothing to assemble.
