A Glass Beach Fort Bragg poster taken from ground level, right down among the stones. The bottom half of the frame is filled with tumbled sea glass and polished pebbles in red, cobalt, bottle green, amber and grey, each one drawn with its own frosting and highlight. Behind them a thin sheet of water lies over dark wet sand, a low wave breaks, and a group of sea stacks and a green-topped headland cliff stand against a hazy blue Pacific sky.
About the artwork
A detailed painted illustration — the foreground stones carry individual shading, speckle and reflected light rather than flat colour fills. The palette is unusual for a coastal print: deep brick red, teal, sea green and honey amber in the glass, set against steel-blue water, taupe sand and a soft grey-blue sky with white cumulus banks. The wet sand mirrors the tallest sea stack in a long vertical reflection down the centre. Text sits over the stones in white sans-serif capitals: GLASS BEACH above a letter-spaced CALIFORNIA. Portrait, 2:3.
Why you'll love it
- An unusual low viewpoint — most coast prints look out to sea; this one looks down at the shore first.
- Colour you can pull a room from — the pebbles supply red, green, blue and amber accents in one image.
- Real Mendocino coastline — sea stacks and a bluff-top headland, not a generic tropical beach.
- Texture up close — worth hanging somewhere you pass at arm's length, where the stone detail pays off.
Sizes and materials
- Paper — archival matte, rolled and unframed. Nine sizes from 8" x 12" to 30" x 40", plus A4-A1 for European frames.
- Matte canvas — stretched on a wooden bar, no glare, ready to hang.
- Framed canvas — solid wood floating frame in white, black, espresso or natural.
- Pigment-based archival inks, rated to resist fading for decades indoors.
Styling it at home
Cool walls suit it best — soft white, pale grey or a muted blue-green lets the steel-blue water and the glass colours stay clean. A white or natural oak frame keeps it light; espresso brings out the brick red and amber stones instead. It sits well in the cream armchair corner and the bedroom sideboard setting shown in the photographs above, and pairs with linen, pale wood and ceramic in matte glazes.
Shipping and care
Unframed prints ship rolled in a protective tube. Framed canvas arrives ready to hang. Keep prints out of direct sunlight to protect the colour, and dust canvas with a dry, soft cloth.
Questions people ask
What size should I get? The individual pebbles are the point, so bigger is better here — 24" x 36" or 30" x 40" for a sofa or bed wall. At 12" x 18" the foreground reads as texture rather than separate stones.
Does it come framed? Paper and matte canvas ship unframed. Framed canvas ships in a solid wood floating frame in white, black, espresso or natural, ready to hang.
What does the poster say? Two lines in white capitals across the lower stones: GLASS BEACH and CALIFORNIA. The town name, Fort Bragg, is not printed on the artwork.
Print & materials
Every design is made to order on one of three materials:
- Fine art paper — thick archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks. The choice if you already own a frame.
- Matte canvas — gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box. No glass, no glare.
- Framed canvas in white, black, espresso or natural wood — a slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted. Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms; white and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
Sizes run from 8 x 12 inches up to large statement pieces, plus A4, A3, A2 and A1 for standard European frames. The exact sizes available for this design are listed in the Size menu above.

Three ways to print it.
Same artwork, same colour-managed printing — the material decides how it hangs and how much wall it holds.
Fine art paper
Thick archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks.
- The most affordable option, and the one to pick if you already own a frame.
- Reads slightly softer than canvas.
- Ships rolled in a rigid tube.
Matte canvas
Gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box.
- No glass, so no glare — good for bright rooms.
- Holds a touch more contrast than paper.
- Boxed with corner guards.
Framed canvas
A slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted, in white, black, espresso or natural wood.
- Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms.
- White and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
- The usual choice for a feature wall — nothing to assemble.
