A Glacier National Park Canada poster looking up the valley from the treeline: dark spruce climbing the near slope, steep green walls narrowing into the distance, and a glacier hanging between two rock peaks at the head of it under a bank of cumulus.
About the artwork
Depth built out of green. The valley recedes in five or six clearly separated planes, each a cooler and paler green than the one in front of it, until the forest gives way to bare rock and ice. The spruce nearest the viewer are drawn individually with their shadows on the grass; further back they compress into texture. The glacier itself is the only bright passage, worked in pale blue-white with the crevasse lines running across it, and the peaks either side are hatched grey-violet with snow left in the gullies.
The layout is the Canadian park service sheet used across this series: cream border, small dark capitals along the top reading BRITISH COLUMBIA · 51.26° N, 117.52° W · EST 1886, and GLACIER at the foot in heavy condensed type over NATIONAL PARK, with the Parks Canada wordmark and beaver roundel. Portrait, 2:3.
Why you'll love it
- The Canadian Glacier, not the American one. This is the Selkirk Mountains park at Rogers Pass, established 1886 — one of Canada's first.
- Green with real depth. Layer on layer of forest, which is why the valley feels as long as it does.
- Ice as the only bright note. The glacier draws the eye straight to the head of the valley.
- Railway history. Rogers Pass is where the Canadian Pacific finally crossed the Selkirks.
Sizes and materials
- Paper — archival matte, rolled and unframed. Nine sizes from 8" x 12" to 30" x 40", plus A4-A1 for European frames.
- Matte canvas — stretched on a wooden bar, no glare, ready to hang.
- Framed canvas — solid wood floating frame in white, black, espresso or natural.
- Pigment-based archival inks, rated to resist fading for decades indoors.
Styling it at home
Deep forest green sits well on cream, oatmeal and warm white, and it suits a room with wood and wool in it. Natural oak keeps it light; espresso deepens it. It hangs naturally beside Mount Revelstoke — the two parks are neighbours, and the sheets share the same British Columbia banner.
Shipping and care
Unframed prints ship rolled in a protective tube. Framed canvas arrives ready to hang. Keep prints out of direct sunlight to protect the colour, and dust canvas with a dry, soft cloth.
Questions people ask
What size should I get? Above a console or desk, 12" x 18" or 16" x 24". Above a sofa, bed or mantel, go 24" x 36" or larger so the print holds the wall.
Does it come framed? Paper and matte canvas ship unframed and fit standard frames. The framed canvas option arrives in a solid wood floating frame in white, black, espresso or natural.
Is this the Glacier National Park in Montana? No — this is Glacier National Park in British Columbia, in the Selkirk Mountains at Rogers Pass. The banner along the top gives its coordinates and its founding year, 1886.
Print & materials
Every design is made to order on one of three materials:
- Fine art paper — thick archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks. The choice if you already own a frame.
- Matte canvas — gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box. No glass, no glare.
- Framed canvas in white, black, espresso or natural wood — a slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted. Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms; white and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
Sizes run from 8 x 12 inches up to large statement pieces, plus A4, A3, A2 and A1 for standard European frames. The exact sizes available for this design are listed in the Size menu above.

Materials
Three ways to print it.
Same artwork, same colour-managed printing — the material decides how it hangs and how much wall it holds.
Fine art paper
Thick archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks.
- The most affordable option, and the one to pick if you already own a frame.
- Reads slightly softer than canvas.
- Ships rolled in a rigid tube.
Matte canvas
Gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box.
- No glass, so no glare — good for bright rooms.
- Holds a touch more contrast than paper.
- Boxed with corner guards.
Framed canvas
A slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted, in white, black, espresso or natural wood.
- Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms.
- White and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
- The usual choice for a feature wall — nothing to assemble.
