This Glacier Bay National Park watercolor print shows the blue-white ice face of Margerie Glacier rising above water dotted with icebergs. It is an artistic, watercolor-style interpretation of the bay, not an exact view.
About the artwork
Fine ink lines draw the upright seracs of the ice face, and the ice is bare paper with blue washed into the cracks. Blue water holds floating white icebergs, and moss-gold drips run from the left edge. Glacier blue and snow white lead the palette, with grey rock walls and the moss green of spruce on the left shore. The ice cliff spans the center, seen across the water of Tarr Inlet, with the dark debris-covered Grand Pacific Glacier and a small waterfall on the right. The snowy Fairweather Range rises behind, and a rocky spruce shore and floating ice fill the late-spring foreground. "GLACIER BAY" is set in spaced navy capitals across the top.
Why you'll love it
- Tidewater ice wall. The wide, crevassed ice face gives the print a crisp, sculptural centerpiece.
- Seals on ice floes. A seal resting on an iceberg, gulls, and red and yellow kayaks at a safe distance add life.
- Cool blue palette. Blue and white tones keep it fresh and calm on any wall.
- Made to order. Printed after you buy, colour-managed, never warehoused.
Sizes and materials
- Paper — archival matte, rolled and unframed. Thirteen sizes in all: 8" x 12" through 30" x 40", plus A4–A1.
- Matte canvas — stretched on a wooden bar, no glare, ready to hang. 12" x 16" to 30" x 40".
- Framed canvas — solid wood floating frame in white, black, espresso or natural. 12" x 16" to 30" x 40".
- Pigment-based archival inks, rated to resist fading for decades indoors.
Styling it at home
Icy blue, white and slate grey suit a modern bathroom, a coastal bedroom, or a white-walled office. A lovely keepsake from an Alaska cruise, or a gift for a sea kayaker or glacier lover.
Shipping and care
Unframed prints ship rolled in a protective tube. Framed canvas arrives ready to hang. Keep prints out of direct sunlight to protect the colour, and dust canvas with a dry, soft cloth.
Questions people ask
Is this an exact view of Glacier Bay National Park? No. It is an artistic watercolor interpretation of Margerie Glacier and Tarr Inlet, so some details, like the spruce shore and the clear blue water, are stylized rather than exact.
What text is printed on it? Only the name "GLACIER BAY," set in spaced navy capitals across the top. There is no other lettering on the print.
Print & materials
Every design is made to order on one of three materials:
- Fine art paper — thick 200 gsm archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks. The choice if you already own a frame.
- Matte canvas — gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box. No glass, no glare.
- Framed canvas in white, black, espresso or natural wood — a slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted. Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms; white and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
Sizes run from 8 x 12 inches up to large statement pieces, plus A4, A3, A2 and A1 for standard European frames. The exact sizes available for this design are listed in the Size menu above.

Materials
Three ways to print it.
Same artwork, same colour-managed printing — the material decides how it hangs and how much wall it holds.
Fine art paper
Thick 200 gsm archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks.
- The most affordable option, and the one to pick if you already own a frame.
- Reads slightly softer than canvas.
- Ships rolled in a rigid tube.
Matte canvas
Gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box.
- No glass, so no glare — good for bright rooms.
- Holds a touch more contrast than paper.
- Boxed with corner guards.
Framed canvas
A slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted, in white, black, espresso or natural wood.
- Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms.
- White and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
- The usual choice for a feature wall — nothing to assemble.
