A Garden of the Gods Colorado poster drawn from the trail between the gateway rocks. Vertical slabs of red sandstone rise on both sides, tilted almost on end, and past them the snow-streaked bulk of Pikes Peak sits above a wave of juniper-covered foothills. A pale sand path runs out of the bottom of the frame.
About the artwork
Painterly digital illustration with fine, hand-drawn strata and foliage rather than flat vector shapes. The palette moves from teal at the top of the sky to cream cumulus, then salmon, brick and coral on the sunlit sandstone with lavender-grey in the shadowed clefts, blue-grey snow on the peak, and a dense foreground of spruce green, olive, silver-sage scrub and small bursts of red and rust leaf. Smaller detached spires stand in the middle distance on the right. Type sits at the bottom in bold white sans-serif: GARDEN OF THE GODS above spaced letters reading COLORADO. Portrait, 2:3.
Why you'll love it
- Both landmarks in one frame — the red fins in front, the fourteener behind, which is exactly how the park is experienced.
- Depth from tilted rock — the near slabs are cropped by the edge, so the eye is pulled down the path into the scene.
- Warm and cool together — coral sandstone against a teal sky and blue snow, without either side going flat.
- Foreground worth reading — juniper, scrub oak and silver sage are drawn as separate plants, not a green mass.
Sizes and materials
- Paper — archival matte, rolled and unframed. Nine sizes from 8" x 12" to 30" x 40", plus A4-A1 for European frames.
- Matte canvas — stretched on a wooden bar, no glare, ready to hang.
- Framed canvas — solid wood floating frame in white, black, espresso or natural.
- Pigment-based archival inks, rated to resist fading for decades indoors.
Styling it at home
Coral sandstone and deep green scrub want a warm neutral behind them — bone, oatmeal or a soft clay wall rather than cool grey. The teak sideboard and dried pampas setting in the photographs above suits it well, since the wood tone sits between the rock and the foliage. In a living room, terracotta and olive textiles pull the two halves of the palette together.
Shipping and care
Unframed prints ship rolled in a protective tube. Framed canvas arrives ready to hang. Keep prints out of direct sunlight to protect the colour, and dust canvas with a dry, soft cloth.
Questions people ask
What size should I get? Above a sideboard, 18" x 24" is comfortable. On a sofa or bedroom wall, 24" x 36" and up keeps the strata on the near slabs and the snow lines on the peak readable.
Does it come framed? Paper and matte canvas ship unframed. Framed canvas comes in a solid wood floating frame in white, black, espresso or natural, ready to hang.
Is there a Colorado Springs version? Yes. This design is the park itself; a separate Colorado Springs travel print is listed elsewhere in the shop for anyone who wants the city rather than the rock formations.
What does the poster say? The printed type reads GARDEN OF THE GODS on the first line with COLORADO in spaced white capitals below it.
Print & materials
Every design is made to order on one of three materials:
- Fine art paper — thick archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks. The choice if you already own a frame.
- Matte canvas — gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box. No glass, no glare.
- Framed canvas in white, black, espresso or natural wood — a slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted. Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms; white and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
Sizes run from 8 x 12 inches up to large statement pieces, plus A4, A3, A2 and A1 for standard European frames. The exact sizes available for this design are listed in the Size menu above.

Three ways to print it.
Same artwork, same colour-managed printing — the material decides how it hangs and how much wall it holds.

Thick archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks.
- The most affordable option, and the one to pick if you already own a frame.
- Reads slightly softer than canvas.
- Ships rolled in a rigid tube.
Matte canvas
Gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box.
- No glass, so no glare — good for bright rooms.
- Holds a touch more contrast than paper.
- Boxed with corner guards.
Framed canvas
A slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted, in white, black, espresso or natural wood.
- Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms.
- White and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
- The usual choice for a feature wall — nothing to assemble.
