A Fundy National Park poster at low water: a wide stretch of seabed uncovered and running out to a distant tideline, wooded headlands stepping away along the shore, and huge weathered sandstone boulders sitting in the grass in the foreground.
About the artwork
A picture of absence. Where the other coastal sheets in this series are full of water, this one shows what the Bay of Fundy looks like when the tide has gone — rippled sand, dark bands of rockweed, shallow channels catching the sky, and the sea pushed right back to the horizon. The boulders in the foreground are the most heavily worked part of the print, drawn with their bedding lines, undercuts and lichen, and the spruce above them are almost black against the pale flats. The whole palette sits in olive, sand and slate blue.
The layout is the Canadian park service sheet used across this series, with the type in dark brown: cream border, small dark capitals along the top reading NEW BRUNSWICK · 45.61° N, 65.03° W · EST 1948, and FUNDY at the foot in heavy condensed type over NATIONAL PARK, with the Parks Canada wordmark and beaver roundel. Portrait, 2:3.
Why you'll love it
- The world's highest tides, shown properly. Not a wave crashing — the seabed you can walk on twice a day.
- Muted and calm. Olive, sand and slate, with no strong colour, so it settles a busy room rather than adding to it.
- Rock worth looking at. The foreground boulders carry most of the detail and reward a close look.
- Coordinates on the sheet. 45.61° N, 65.03° W, established 1948.
Sizes and materials
- Paper — archival matte, rolled and unframed. Nine sizes from 8" x 12" to 30" x 40", plus A4-A1 for European frames.
- Matte canvas — stretched on a wooden bar, no glare, ready to hang.
- Framed canvas — solid wood floating frame in white, black, espresso or natural.
- Pigment-based archival inks, rated to resist fading for decades indoors.
Styling it at home
Because the palette is so restrained, this print behaves like a neutral and will not argue with wallpaper, textiles or art you already own. It suits greige, sage and warm grey walls, and natural or espresso frames both work. A good choice above a sideboard or in a hallway where you want something quiet rather than a statement.
Shipping and care
Unframed prints ship rolled in a protective tube. Framed canvas arrives ready to hang. Keep prints out of direct sunlight to protect the colour, and dust canvas with a dry, soft cloth.
Questions people ask
What size should I get? Above a console or desk, 12" x 18" or 16" x 24". Above a sofa, bed or mantel, go 24" x 36" or larger so the print holds the wall.
Does it come framed? Paper and matte canvas ship unframed and fit standard frames. The framed canvas option arrives in a solid wood floating frame in white, black, espresso or natural.
Where has the water gone? This is the Bay of Fundy at low tide, where the range between high and low water is the largest in the world. The banner along the top gives the park's coordinates and its founding year, 1948.
Print & materials
Every design is made to order on one of three materials:
- Fine art paper — thick archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks. The choice if you already own a frame.
- Matte canvas — gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box. No glass, no glare.
- Framed canvas in white, black, espresso or natural wood — a slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted. Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms; white and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
Sizes run from 8 x 12 inches up to large statement pieces, plus A4, A3, A2 and A1 for standard European frames. The exact sizes available for this design are listed in the Size menu above.

Materials
Three ways to print it.
Same artwork, same colour-managed printing — the material decides how it hangs and how much wall it holds.
Fine art paper
Thick archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks.
- The most affordable option, and the one to pick if you already own a frame.
- Reads slightly softer than canvas.
- Ships rolled in a rigid tube.
Matte canvas
Gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box.
- No glass, so no glare — good for bright rooms.
- Holds a touch more contrast than paper.
- Boxed with corner guards.
Framed canvas
A slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted, in white, black, espresso or natural wood.
- Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms.
- White and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
- The usual choice for a feature wall — nothing to assemble.
