A Fort Lauderdale Florida poster taken from the water, looking along a line of white motor yachts moored bow-out against the seawall. Coconut palms lean over the dock behind them, and a wall of glass condo towers rises straight out of the palm line. The bottom half of the frame is open turquoise water, flecked with sun sparkle, with a thin strip of pale sand at the near edge.
About the artwork
Flat vector shapes with a fine grain overlay, so the water reads as texture rather than flat colour. The palette runs through one family: aqua sky, deep teal shadow on the hulls, turquoise and mint on the water, cream and bone white for the yachts, near-black green for the palm fronds, and cool blue-grey glass on the towers. The tallest tower is drawn as a slim curtain-wall slab with vertical mullion lines; behind it sit stepped, cream-coloured high-rises. Radar domes and flybridges break the yacht silhouettes. Typography is thin wide capitals reading FORT LAUDERDALE with FLORIDA beneath. Portrait, 2:3.
Why you'll love it
- The yacht basin, not the beach — this is the boating side of the city, drawn from the waterway looking in.
- Water does half the work — the lower half is pure sparkling turquoise, which keeps the busy skyline from crowding the frame.
- Reads from across a room — white hulls against dark palms give a strong light-dark split you can see from the doorway.
- One clean colour family — aqua through teal, with cream as the only real contrast.
Sizes and materials
- Paper — archival matte, rolled and unframed. Nine sizes from 8" x 12" to 30" x 40", plus A4-A1 for European frames.
- Matte canvas — stretched on a wooden bar, no glare, ready to hang.
- Framed canvas — solid wood floating frame in white, black, espresso or natural.
- Pigment-based archival inks, rated to resist fading for decades indoors.
Styling it at home
Turquoise this saturated wants a quiet wall. Chalk white or a pale sand tone lets the water carry the colour on its own. The light oak frame shown above a console in the photographs picks up the cream in the hulls; a black frame against the sage green wall pushes the teal cooler and more graphic. It works in a bathroom or a bedroom, and it is a natural pair with any other coastal print in the same aqua range.
Shipping and care
Unframed prints ship rolled in a protective tube. Framed canvas arrives ready to hang. Keep prints out of direct sunlight to protect the colour, and dust canvas with a dry, soft cloth.
Questions people ask
What size should I get? The yachts sit in a narrow band across the middle, so go 18" x 24" or larger if you want the hull detail to read. Above a sofa, 24" x 36" upward.
Does it come framed? Paper and matte canvas ship unframed. Framed canvas comes in a solid wood floating frame in white, black, espresso or natural.
What does the poster say? FORT LAUDERDALE runs across the top in wide capitals, with FLORIDA set smaller underneath. Nothing else is printed on the artwork.
Print & materials
Every design is made to order on one of three materials:
- Fine art paper — thick archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks. The choice if you already own a frame.
- Matte canvas — gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box. No glass, no glare.
- Framed canvas in white, black, espresso or natural wood — a slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted. Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms; white and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
Sizes run from 8 x 12 inches up to large statement pieces, plus A4, A3, A2 and A1 for standard European frames. The exact sizes available for this design are listed in the Size menu above.

Materials
Three ways to print it.
Same artwork, same colour-managed printing — the material decides how it hangs and how much wall it holds.
Fine art paper
Thick archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks.
- The most affordable option, and the one to pick if you already own a frame.
- Reads slightly softer than canvas.
- Ships rolled in a rigid tube.
Matte canvas
Gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box.
- No glass, so no glare — good for bright rooms.
- Holds a touch more contrast than paper.
- Boxed with corner guards.
Framed canvas
A slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted, in white, black, espresso or natural wood.
- Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms.
- White and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
- The usual choice for a feature wall — nothing to assemble.
