An Eze France poster looking down on the village from the rock above: ochre stone houses packed onto the spur, a square bell tower standing over them, and the Mediterranean running from turquoise at the cliff foot to deep blue at the horizon.
About the artwork
A steep, top-down composition, which is the only honest way to draw a village built on a crag. The left third and the entire foreground are rock: pale limestone in faceted planes of cream and grey-violet, with cypress spears, umbrella pines, olive scrub, a spiky agave in the bottom corner and terrace walls with a path between them. Two or three small houses with terracotta roofs are tucked into those terraces. Èze itself sits in the middle distance on its spur, a tight cluster of sand and ochre stone with faded terracotta roofs, arched openings and a square tower with a pale belfry above the rest, plus one red-roofed terrace with palms on the side facing the sea. Below that the white cliff drops straight into the water. The right half is sea, turquoise over the rocks then bands of cobalt and slate to a hazy horizon, with the coast curving away to a distant bay. Title in wide-tracked uppercase with France beneath. Portrait, 2:3.
Why you'll love it
- Real height. You are above the village looking down on its roofs, with the drop to the sea drawn all the way through.
- Sea in bands. Turquoise, cobalt and slate laid one behind another, which is what gives the right half its depth.
- Mediterranean planting. Cypress, pine, agave and palm drawn as individual plants along the terraces.
- Made to order. Printed after you buy, colour-managed, never warehoused.
Sizes and materials
- Paper — archival matte, rolled and unframed. Nine sizes from 8" x 12" to 30" x 40", plus A4–A1 for European frames.
- Matte canvas — stretched on a wooden bar, no glare, ready to hang.
- Framed canvas — solid wood floating frame in white, black, espresso or natural.
- Pigment-based archival inks, rated to resist fading for decades indoors.
Styling it at home
Warm stone against a lot of blue, so it works on white, sand, pale terracotta or soft grey walls and lifts a room with linen, ceramic and light wood in it. It suits a room where the blue can breathe. Natural oak frames follow the ochre roofs; black sharpens the sea into bands. Hang it with the Valensole lavender print as a France pair, or beside any other Mediterranean coastal view in the collection.
Shipping and care
Unframed prints ship rolled in a protective tube. Framed canvas arrives ready to hang. Keep prints out of direct sunlight to protect the colour, and dust canvas with a dry, soft cloth.
Questions people ask
What size should I get? Above a console or desk, 12" x 18" or 16" x 24". Above a sofa, bed or mantel, go 24" x 36" or larger so the print holds the wall.
Does it come framed? Paper prints ship unframed and fit standard frames. Choose a framed canvas if you would rather skip the framing shop.
Where is the view from? From the rock and garden terraces above the old village, looking down over its roofs to the cliff and the Riviera coast beyond.
Print & materials
Every design is made to order on one of three materials:
- Fine art paper — thick archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks. The choice if you already own a frame.
- Matte canvas — gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box. No glass, no glare.
- Framed canvas in white, black, espresso or natural wood — a slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted. Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms; white and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
Sizes run from 8 x 12 inches up to large statement pieces, plus A4, A3, A2 and A1 for standard European frames. The exact sizes available for this design are listed in the Size menu above.

Materials
Three ways to print it.
Same artwork, same colour-managed printing — the material decides how it hangs and how much wall it holds.
Fine art paper
Thick archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks.
- The most affordable option, and the one to pick if you already own a frame.
- Reads slightly softer than canvas.
- Ships rolled in a rigid tube.
Matte canvas
Gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box.
- No glass, so no glare — good for bright rooms.
- Holds a touch more contrast than paper.
- Boxed with corner guards.
Framed canvas
A slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted, in white, black, espresso or natural wood.
- Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms.
- White and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
- The usual choice for a feature wall — nothing to assemble.
