An Evansville Indiana poster looking down on the riverfront esplanade as it curves along a wide bend of the Ohio. A pale concrete promenade sweeps from the bottom of the frame up to the right, backed by stepped terraces, mown lawn, round planters and a line of tall lamp standards. The river fills the left half as one deep, almost black band of water, with a low wooded far bank on the horizon.
About the artwork
Flat vector illustration built from broad hard-edged planes and long cast shadows, with very little line work. The palette is deliberately narrow: near-black teal in the river, sage and moss green on the lawn terraces, bone and putty on the concrete walk, and a pale duck-egg sky. The shadows run diagonally across the promenade in cool grey-green, which is what gives the print its sense of late afternoon. Type sits at the top in white capitals: EVANSVILLE above INDIANA. Portrait, 2:3.
Why you'll love it
- One long curve — the esplanade sweeps the whole height of the print, which is rare in a city poster and very easy on the eye.
- Almost abstract — no buildings, no traffic, just water, concrete and grass in flat bands.
- A quiet palette — sage, bone and deep teal, with nothing loud to work around.
- For people who walk that riverfront — the terraces, planters and lamp posts are all where they should be.
Sizes and materials
- Paper — archival matte, rolled and unframed. Nine sizes from 8" x 12" to 30" x 40", plus A4-A1 for European frames.
- Matte canvas — stretched on a wooden bar, no glare, ready to hang.
- Framed canvas — solid wood floating frame in white, black, espresso or natural.
- Pigment-based archival inks, rated to resist fading for decades indoors.
Styling it at home
This is the most restrained print in the set and it suits a calm room. The sage green wall in the photographs above is almost a colour match for the lawn terraces; cream, stone and warm white walls work equally well. A natural oak or white frame keeps it soft and modern; black frames make the dark river read as a solid block, which can be striking over a sideboard.
Shipping and care
Unframed prints ship rolled in a protective tube. Framed canvas arrives ready to hang. Keep prints out of direct sunlight to protect the colour, and dust canvas with a dry, soft cloth.
Questions people ask
What size should I get? Because the shapes are large and simple, this one holds up small — 12" x 18" works in a gallery wall. At 24" x 36" the curve becomes the main event on the wall.
Does it come framed? Paper and matte canvas ship unframed. The framed canvas option arrives in a solid wood floating frame in white, black, espresso or natural, with hanging hardware fitted.
What does the poster say? Two lines of white capitals at the top: EVANSVILLE, then INDIANA. Nothing else is printed on the artwork.
Print & materials
Every design is made to order on one of three materials:
- Fine art paper — thick archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks. The choice if you already own a frame.
- Matte canvas — gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box. No glass, no glare.
- Framed canvas in white, black, espresso or natural wood — a slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted. Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms; white and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
Sizes run from 8 x 12 inches up to large statement pieces, plus A4, A3, A2 and A1 for standard European frames. The exact sizes available for this design are listed in the Size menu above.

Thick archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks.

- Reads slightly softer than canvas.

Matte canvas
Gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box.
- No glass, so no glare — good for bright rooms.
- Holds a touch more contrast than paper.
- Boxed with corner guards.
Framed canvas
A slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted, in white, black, espresso or natural wood.
- Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms.
- White and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
- The usual choice for a feature wall — nothing to assemble.
