An Emerald Bay Lake Tahoe poster looking down into the bay from the granite bluff on its south side. Jeffrey pines lean in from the right, pale rock steps down on the left, and between them the water runs from bright aquamarine over the shallow bar to deep indigo where the bay opens out to the main lake and the far shore.
About the artwork
Vector illustration with fine hatched linework in the foliage and rock and broad flat washes in the water. The bay is the whole point of the colour: pale mint and aquamarine over the sandbar, jade and teal in the middle depths, then cobalt and near-navy further out, all laid down in distinct bands. Around it the granite is bone, warm buff and pale grey with blue shadow in the fissures, and the conifers are drawn in olive, sage and dark forest green with a rust-brown trunk down the right edge. A small rocky island with a few pines on it sits in the middle of the bay. Distant blue mountains and cream cumulus close the top of the frame. Printed type reads EMERALD BAY in white capitals with CALIFORNIA letterspaced beneath. Portrait, 2:3.
Why you'll love it
- The colour Tahoe is known for — five distinct blues and greens in one sheet of water, not a single flat blue.
- Framed by the trees — the pines on the right give the view depth and make it feel like standing at the overlook.
- The island as an anchor — the small pine-topped rock keeps the eye in the middle of the bay.
- Cool and calm — an easy print for a bedroom or a bathroom wall where you want the room quieter.
Sizes and materials
- Paper — archival matte, rolled and unframed. Nine sizes from 8" x 12" to 30" x 40", plus A4-A1 for European frames.
- Matte canvas — stretched on a wooden bar, no glare, ready to hang.
- Framed canvas — stretched canvas in a solid wood floating frame in white, black, espresso or natural.
- Pigment-based archival inks, rated to resist fading for decades indoors.
Styling it at home
The aquamarine and jade here are strong enough to set the tone of a room. Against the plain white wall in the photographs above the water reads at full saturation; the sage green room pulls the pines forward and calms the blues down. Warm buff granite means it also works over oak and walnut, like the sideboard settings shown. A natural wood frame is the safest choice; white keeps a bathroom or bedroom feeling light.
Shipping and care
Unframed prints ship rolled in a protective tube. Framed canvas arrives ready to hang. Keep prints out of direct sunlight to protect the colour, and dust canvas with a dry, soft cloth.
Questions people ask
What size should I get? The water bands and the hatched pine needles both gain from scale, so 18" x 24" upward. At 24" x 36" or 30" x 40" the shift from aquamarine to indigo across the bay is the first thing you notice in the room.
Does it come framed? Paper and matte canvas ship unframed. Framed canvas is stretched and set in a solid wood floating frame in white, black, espresso or natural, with hanging hardware fitted.
What does the poster say? EMERALD BAY in large white capitals, with CALIFORNIA letterspaced below it. Lake Tahoe and State Park are not printed on the artwork.
Print & materials
Every design is made to order on one of three materials:
- Fine art paper — thick archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks. The choice if you already own a frame.
- Matte canvas — gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box. No glass, no glare.
- Framed canvas in white, black, espresso or natural wood — a slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted. Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms; white and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
Sizes run from 8 x 12 inches up to large statement pieces, plus A4, A3, A2 and A1 for standard European frames. The exact sizes available for this design are listed in the Size menu above.

Framed canvas
A slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted, in white, black, espresso or natural wood.
