A Delaware Water Gap poster seen from a cliff ledge high on the ridge, looking upriver through the notch the Delaware has cut in the Appalachian ridgeline. Pennsylvania rises on the left and New Jersey on the right, the water runs pale and quiet down the middle, and bare rock slabs and pitch pine sit in the foreground where you would be standing.
About the artwork
Vector illustration with soft banded gradients in the distance and crisp faceted shapes in the near rock. The colour moves back in clear steps: warm buff and pinkish grey in the foreground slabs, deep bottle green in the near hillsides, mid sage and olive across the middle slopes, and a hazy blue-green for the furthest ridges. The river is a flat pale steel blue with a silver highlight where the sun catches it. The sky fades from mint to a pale cream at the horizon. Pine needles are drawn individually along both edges. Printed type reads DELAWARE WATER GAP in white capitals, with PENNSYLVANIA • NEW JERSEY letterspaced beneath. Portrait, 2:3.
Why you'll love it
- Two states in one view — the ridge on the left is Pennsylvania, the one on the right New Jersey, and the print names both.
- A hiker's viewpoint — drawn from the overlook, with the ledge and the pines in the frame rather than a flat aerial.
- Layered greens — five or six distinct greens receding to blue, which gives real distance on a wall.
- Calm colour — no strong reds or high contrast, so it sits quietly in a bedroom or a study.
Sizes and materials
- Paper — archival matte, rolled and unframed. Nine sizes from 8" x 12" to 30" x 40", plus A4-A1 for European frames.
- Matte canvas — stretched on a wooden bar, no glare, ready to hang.
- Framed canvas — stretched canvas in a solid wood floating frame in white, black, espresso or natural.
- Pigment-based archival inks, rated to resist fading for decades indoors.
Styling it at home
Greens this soft do best where they are not fighting the wall. The sage green room in the photographs above sits in the same register and makes the print feel built in. On a beige or oatmeal wall the buff foreground rock warms up and the river holds the eye. Natural oak or white frames keep it light; espresso works if you want the darker hillsides to anchor a reading corner.
Shipping and care
Unframed prints ship rolled in a protective tube. Framed canvas arrives ready to hang. Keep prints out of direct sunlight to protect the colour, and dust canvas with a dry, soft cloth.
Questions people ask
What size should I get? The receding ridges need a little scale to separate, so 18" x 24" upward. On a bedroom or sofa wall, 24" x 36" gives the river room to run the full height of the print.
Does it come framed? Paper and matte canvas ship unframed. Framed canvas is stretched and set in a solid wood floating frame in white, black, espresso or natural, with hanging hardware fitted.
What does the poster say? DELAWARE WATER GAP across the top in white capitals, and below it PENNSYLVANIA • NEW JERSEY, letterspaced and separated by a small dot. Both states are named because the gap sits on the border between them.
Print & materials
Every design is made to order on one of three materials:
- Fine art paper — thick archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks. The choice if you already own a frame.
- Matte canvas — gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box. No glass, no glare.
- Framed canvas in white, black, espresso or natural wood — a slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted. Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms; white and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
Sizes run from 8 x 12 inches up to large statement pieces, plus A4, A3, A2 and A1 for standard European frames. The exact sizes available for this design are listed in the Size menu above.

Materials
Three ways to print it.
Same artwork, same colour-managed printing — the material decides how it hangs and how much wall it holds.
Fine art paper
Thick archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks.
- The most affordable option, and the one to pick if you already own a frame.
- Reads slightly softer than canvas.
- Ships rolled in a rigid tube.
Matte canvas
Gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box.
- No glass, so no glare — good for bright rooms.
- Holds a touch more contrast than paper.
- Boxed with corner guards.
Framed canvas
A slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted, in white, black, espresso or natural wood.
- Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms.
- White and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
- The usual choice for a feature wall — nothing to assemble.
