A Dead Horse Point Utah poster taken from the sandstone rim, looking down two thousand feet of stepped canyon to the gooseneck bend where the Colorado River doubles back around a red mesa. Juniper and rabbitbrush hold on to the ledges in the foreground, and the view runs back over layer after layer of butte to a hazy horizon.
About the artwork
Flat vector illustration built from stacked colour planes, with rock strata drawn as horizontal bands and no outlines. The palette is the strongest thing in the print: coral and rust red in the near canyon walls, salmon and brick in the mid-ground benches, mauve and dusty violet in the shadowed side canyons, cream and buff in the rim slabs at bottom right, and a single ribbon of pale blue-teal water threading through the middle. Sage and olive shrubs sit against the pale rock, and the sky is a soft teal with thin cream cloud bands. Printed type reads DEAD HORSE POINT in white capitals with UTAH letterspaced beneath. Portrait, 2:3.
Why you'll love it
- The overlook, not a postcard shot — drawn from the rim itself, with the ledge you would be standing on in the frame.
- One cool line through a warm print — the blue river is the only cool note, and it does all the work.
- Depth in a dozen layers — the receding mesas give a small print a surprising amount of distance.
- Desert colour that suits real rooms — terracotta, clay and sage rather than neon canyon orange.
Sizes and materials
- Paper — archival matte, rolled and unframed. Nine sizes from 8" x 12" to 30" x 40", plus A4-A1 for European frames.
- Matte canvas — stretched on a wooden bar, no glare, ready to hang.
- Framed canvas — stretched canvas in a solid wood floating frame in white, black, espresso or natural.
- Pigment-based archival inks, rated to resist fading for decades indoors.
Styling it at home
This is a warm print and it belongs on a warm wall. The terracotta room with the walnut sideboard in the photographs above is the closest match — the clay wall and the canyon reds sit in the same family. It also works against plain white, where the mauve shadows read as cooler and the print looks more graphic. Natural or espresso wood frames follow the rock; leave black frames for the cooler prints.
Shipping and care
Unframed prints ship rolled in a protective tube. Framed canvas arrives ready to hang. Keep prints out of direct sunlight to protect the colour, and dust canvas with a dry, soft cloth.
Questions people ask
What size should I get? There is a lot of layered detail in the middle distance, so we would start at 18" x 24". For a sofa or bed wall, 24" x 36" or 30" x 40" lets the river bend and the far buttes separate properly.
Does it come framed? Paper and matte canvas ship unframed. Framed canvas is stretched and set in a solid wood floating frame in white, black, espresso or natural, with hanging hardware fitted.
What does the poster say? Two lines of white capitals across the top: DEAD HORSE POINT, with UTAH letterspaced below. The word Park does not appear on the print.
Print & materials
Every design is made to order on one of three materials:
- Fine art paper — thick archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks. The choice if you already own a frame.
- Matte canvas — gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box. No glass, no glare.
- Framed canvas in white, black, espresso or natural wood — a slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted. Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms; white and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
Sizes run from 8 x 12 inches up to large statement pieces, plus A4, A3, A2 and A1 for standard European frames. The exact sizes available for this design are listed in the Size menu above.

Thick archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks.
- The most affordable option, and the one to pick if you already own a frame.
- Reads slightly softer than canvas.
- Ships rolled in a rigid tube.
Matte canvas
Gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box.
- No glass, so no glare — good for bright rooms.
- Holds a touch more contrast than paper.
- Boxed with corner guards.
Framed canvas
A slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted, in white, black, espresso or natural wood.
- Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms.
- White and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
