A Dalt Vila Ibiza poster looking along the top of the old sea wall: honey sandstone bastions in the foreground, cliffs dropping into deep cobalt water, and the white town climbing to its fortress at the crown of the hill.
About the artwork
The print is cut in half on a diagonal, sea on the left and stone on the right, and the two halves sit about as far apart in colour as it is possible to get. The bastion is enormous in the frame: squared ashlar blocks in honey, apricot and pale rose, each one drawn with its own shadow, the rampart running away to the left and a second wall beyond it. Beneath the wall the rock belongs to the same warm family, tumbled into boulders and ledges with green scrub and small pines rooted in the cracks. The sea is flat ultramarine, darker at the top of the frame, with a wide field of sun-sparkle drawn as fine white flecks. In the distance a low headland carries a small fort, and the town rises behind it in tight white cubes stacked up the slope with the citadel walls at the top. The title is set in wide-tracked uppercase and reads Ibiza, with Spain beneath. Portrait, 2:3.
Why you'll love it
- Cobalt against warm sandstone. Complementary colours at full strength, kept apart by one hard diagonal.
- A fortress you can read. Rampart, bastion and citadel drawn as one connected structure rather than a silhouette.
- Whitewashed town at the top. The cluster of white cubes that makes the island unmistakable.
- Made to order. Printed after you buy, colour-managed, never warehoused.
Sizes and materials
- Paper — archival matte, rolled and unframed. Nine sizes from 8" x 12" to 30" x 40", plus A4–A1 for European frames.
- Matte canvas — stretched on a wooden bar, no glare, ready to hang.
- Framed canvas — solid wood floating frame in white, black, espresso or natural.
- Pigment-based archival inks, rated to resist fading for decades indoors.
Styling it at home
Strong blue, so it wants a wall with room around it: above a sideboard, in a stairwell, or over a bed in a room that is otherwise plain. Crisp white and pale sand walls let the cobalt sing, while a terracotta wall pulls out the sandstone instead. Black frames sharpen it and white frames cool it down. It belongs with pale wood, raw linen and unglazed pottery. Pair it with the Benagil Cave print for a Mediterranean and an Atlantic coast side by side.
Shipping and care
Unframed prints ship rolled in a protective tube. Framed canvas arrives ready to hang. Keep prints out of direct sunlight to protect the colour, and dust canvas with a dry, soft cloth.
Questions people ask
What size should I get? Above a console or desk, 12" x 18" or 16" x 24". Above a sofa, bed or mantel, go 24" x 36" or larger so the print holds the wall.
Does it come framed? Paper prints ship unframed and fit standard frames. Choose a framed canvas if you would rather skip the framing shop.
What is the wall in the foreground? A bastion of the old town's sea defences, with the rampart running away towards the harbour and the citadel at the top of the hill.
Print & materials
Every design is made to order on one of three materials:
- Fine art paper — thick archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks. The choice if you already own a frame.
- Matte canvas — gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box. No glass, no glare.
- Framed canvas in white, black, espresso or natural wood — a slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted. Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms; white and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
Sizes run from 8 x 12 inches up to large statement pieces, plus A4, A3, A2 and A1 for standard European frames. The exact sizes available for this design are listed in the Size menu above.

Three ways to print it.
Same artwork, same colour-managed printing — the material decides how it hangs and how much wall it holds.

Thick archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks.
- The most affordable option, and the one to pick if you already own a frame.
- Reads slightly softer than canvas.
- Ships rolled in a rigid tube.
Matte canvas
Gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box.
- No glass, so no glare — good for bright rooms.
- Holds a touch more contrast than paper.
- Boxed with corner guards.
Framed canvas
A slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted, in white, black, espresso or natural wood.
- Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms.
- White and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
- The usual choice for a feature wall — nothing to assemble.
