A Crater Lake National Park WPA poster of Wizard Island rising from the deep blue caldera lake, with snow on the cliffs and pines framing both sides of the view, set inside a cream border. The top line reads OREGON · 42.94°N, 122.10°W · ESTABLISHED 1902; below the picture, CRATER LAKE NATIONAL PARK in steel-blue slab lettering, with the National Park Service bison seal.
About the artwork
Pines at the lower left and right frame a look down to the lake; the eye lands on the island’s cinder cone, then follows the cliffs round to the far rim. Clear light and pure blue give it a crisp, clean feel. Crater Lake is the deepest lake in the United States, almost 2,000 feet at its deepest.
Why you'll love it
- Clear and cool. Sapphire and steel blue suit modern living rooms, bedrooms and offices.
- A finished edge built in. The cream margin gives it a framed look even in a thin frame.
- Thirteen sizes. From a desk shelf up to a full feature wall.
- Made to order. Printed after you buy, color-managed, never warehoused.
Sizes and materials
- Paper — archival matte, rolled and unframed. Thirteen sizes in all: 8" x 12" through 30" x 40", plus A4–A1.
- Matte canvas — stretched on a wooden bar, no glare, ready to hang. 12" x 16" to 30" x 40".
- Framed canvas — solid wood floating frame in white, black, espresso or natural. 12" x 16" to 30" x 40".
- Pigment-based archival inks, rated to resist fading for decades indoors.
Styling it at home
Pale walls and light wood suit it; navy or blue textiles repeat the lake. A white or oak frame suits the cream border.
Shipping and care
Unframed prints ship rolled in a protective tube. Framed canvas arrives ready to hang. Keep prints out of direct sunlight to protect the color, and dust canvas with a dry, soft cloth.
Questions people ask
What size should I get? 16" x 24" and up if it hangs alone; 12" x 18" works inside a gallery wall of several parks.
Does it come framed? Paper prints ship unframed and fit standard frames. Choose a framed canvas if you would rather skip the framing shop.
How is this different from your other Crater Lake prints? This is the cream-bordered WPA poster: Wizard Island rising from the blue caldera, with the park’s coordinates across the top. The vintage travel poster is a separate full-bleed design with white lettering; the screen print, retro, mid-century, panoramic, oil, watercolor, illustrated and landmark Crater Lake prints are separate designs too.
Print & materials
Every design is made to order on one of three materials:
- Fine art paper — thick archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks. The choice if you already own a frame.
- Matte canvas — gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box. No glass, no glare.
- Framed canvas in white, black, espresso or natural wood — a slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted. Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms; white and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
Sizes run from 8 x 12 inches up to large statement pieces, plus A4, A3, A2 and A1 for standard European frames. The exact sizes available for this design are listed in the Size menu above.

Materials
Three ways to print it.
Same artwork, same colour-managed printing — the material decides how it hangs and how much wall it holds.
Fine art paper
Thick archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks.
- The most affordable option, and the one to pick if you already own a frame.
- Reads slightly softer than canvas.
- Ships rolled in a rigid tube.
Matte canvas
Gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box.
- No glass, so no glare — good for bright rooms.
- Holds a touch more contrast than paper.
- Boxed with corner guards.
Framed canvas
A slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted, in white, black, espresso or natural wood.
- Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms.
- White and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
- The usual choice for a feature wall — nothing to assemble.
