A minimalist western print: a cowboy hat and a knotted bandana sit above the word COWBOY in slab capitals, printed in brown on a kraft-paper ground.
About the artwork
One ink, one paper colour, three elements. The kraft ground is what separates this from the rest of the range — warm, slightly grey, more cardboard than cream — and the brown sits on it without much contrast, which keeps the whole thing low and quiet. The hat is drawn as an outline rather than hatched, the bandana as a single knotted shape. Nothing is shaded. It is the most restrained design in the western series.
Why you'll love it
- Kraft-paper ground. Warmer and greyer than cream — it reads as material, not as background.
- Outline only. No hatching, no shading, nothing to go muddy at small sizes.
- One ink. Brown on kraft, and that is the entire palette.
- Quiet by design. The piece to hang when the room is already busy.
- Built as a set. Every design in the western series shares one palette and one paper, so any combination lines up.
- Made to order. Printed after you buy, colour-managed, never warehoused.
Sizes and materials
- Paper — archival matte, rolled and unframed. Thirteen sizes in all: 8" x 12" through 30" x 40", plus A4–A1.
- Matte canvas — stretched on a wooden bar, no glare, ready to hang. 12" x 16" to 30" x 40".
- Framed canvas — solid wood floating frame in white, black, espresso or natural. 12" x 16" to 30" x 40".
- Pigment-based archival inks, rated to resist fading for decades indoors.
Styling it at home
Low-contrast prints are the ones that survive being lived with. This is the piece for a room that already has a patterned rug or a loud sofa, and it is the safest one in the range to hang in a narrow gap between windows. Natural oak disappears into the kraft; black frames give it an edge it otherwise refuses.
Shipping and care
Unframed prints ship rolled in a protective tube. Framed canvas arrives ready to hang. Keep prints out of direct sunlight to protect the colour, and dust canvas with a dry, soft cloth.
Questions people ask
What size should I get? It holds up at any size — the artwork is outline only, so even 8" x 12" stays crisp.
Does it come framed? Paper prints ship unframed and fit standard frames. Choose a framed canvas if you would rather skip the framing shop.
Is the paper actually kraft? No — the kraft tone is printed onto archival matte stock, so it will not yellow the way real kraft does.
Print & materials
Every design is made to order on one of three materials:
- Fine art paper — thick archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks. The choice if you already own a frame.
- Matte canvas — gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box. No glass, no glare.
- Framed canvas in white, black, espresso or natural wood — a slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted. Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms; white and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
Sizes run from 8 x 12 inches up to large statement pieces, plus A4, A3, A2 and A1 for standard European frames. The exact sizes available for this design are listed in the Size menu above.

Materials
Three ways to print it.
Same artwork, same colour-managed printing — the material decides how it hangs and how much wall it holds.
Fine art paper
Thick archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks.
- The most affordable option, and the one to pick if you already own a frame.
- Reads slightly softer than canvas.
- Ships rolled in a rigid tube.
Matte canvas
Gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box.
- No glass, so no glare — good for bright rooms.
- Holds a touch more contrast than paper.
- Boxed with corner guards.
Framed canvas
A slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted, in white, black, espresso or natural wood.
- Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms.
- White and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
- The usual choice for a feature wall — nothing to assemble.
