A Corinth canal poster looking straight down the cut: two sheer walls of banded limestone falling away on either side, a narrow ribbon of turquoise water between them, and a steel truss bridge crossing high up where the walls meet the open sea beyond.
About the artwork
This is a study in perspective more than anything else. The two cliff faces run from the bottom corners towards a single point near the top of the frame, and the water narrows with them until it is only a few millimetres wide at the far end. The rock is drawn in horizontal bands, gold and apricot where the sun hits and deep ochre and brown where it does not, with the vertical scars of the cutting shown as long parallel grooves. The left wall is in full light, the right falls into a warm shadow, and the difference between them keeps the two sides from merging. The channel itself moves from dark teal in the depths to a clear turquoise near the mouth. Scrub bushes and small pines cling to both rims. Past the bridge the sea opens pale blue with low hills behind. Title in wide-tracked uppercase with Greece beneath. Portrait, 2:3.
Why you'll love it
- One-point perspective. The walls pull the eye down the channel and out to the sea, which very few landscape prints do.
- Gold against turquoise. Warm rock and cool water in almost equal measure, so it holds a wall on its own.
- A cut made by hand. The grooves left in the rock are drawn, not implied.
- Made to order. Printed after you buy, colour-managed, never warehoused.
Sizes and materials
- Paper — archival matte, rolled and unframed. Nine sizes from 8" x 12" to 30" x 40", plus A4–A1 for European frames.
- Matte canvas — stretched on a wooden bar, no glare, ready to hang.
- Framed canvas — solid wood floating frame in white, black, espresso or natural.
- Pigment-based archival inks, rated to resist fading for decades indoors.
Styling it at home
The ochre and turquoise pairing is warm and coastal without being pastel, so it suits sand, cream and pale clay walls and rooms with linen, rattan and unglazed ceramic. It is a strong upright shape for a narrow wall between windows or beside a doorway. Natural oak frames follow the rock; black frames make the water read cooler and more graphic. It sits well next to the other Greek coast and island prints.
Shipping and care
Unframed prints ship rolled in a protective tube. Framed canvas arrives ready to hang. Keep prints out of direct sunlight to protect the colour, and dust canvas with a dry, soft cloth.
Questions people ask
What size should I get? Above a console or desk, 12" x 18" or 16" x 24". Above a sofa, bed or mantel, go 24" x 36" or larger so the print holds the wall.
Does it come framed? Paper prints ship unframed and fit standard frames. Choose a framed canvas if you would rather skip the framing shop.
What is crossing at the top? A steel truss bridge spanning the canal, drawn small on purpose so the depth and length of the cut come across.
Print & materials
Every design is made to order on one of three materials:
- Fine art paper — thick archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks. The choice if you already own a frame.
- Matte canvas — gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box. No glass, no glare.
- Framed canvas in white, black, espresso or natural wood — a slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted. Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms; white and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
Sizes run from 8 x 12 inches up to large statement pieces, plus A4, A3, A2 and A1 for standard European frames. The exact sizes available for this design are listed in the Size menu above.

Materials
Three ways to print it.
Same artwork, same colour-managed printing — the material decides how it hangs and how much wall it holds.
Fine art paper
Thick archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks.
- The most affordable option, and the one to pick if you already own a frame.
- Reads slightly softer than canvas.
- Ships rolled in a rigid tube.
Matte canvas
Gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box.
- No glass, so no glare — good for bright rooms.
- Holds a touch more contrast than paper.
- Boxed with corner guards.
Framed canvas
A slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted, in white, black, espresso or natural wood.
- Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms.
- White and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
- The usual choice for a feature wall — nothing to assemble.
