A Coral Pink Sand Dunes poster that looks across the dune field between Kanab and Mount Carmel Junction in southern Utah. Wind-combed apricot sand spills down into a shallow basin, ponderosa pines and juniper crowd the edges, a bench of red Navajo sandstone steps up on the right, and beyond it the ground drops away to a pale valley and low blue mesas.
About the artwork
Painterly illustration with heavy detail rather than flat vector shapes. The sand runs from pale buff through apricot to a warm terracotta in the wind shadows, and each dune face carries fine ripple lines that catch the light. Against it sit dark bottle-green conifers, grey-green sage clumps and the brick-red ledges of the sandstone rim. The top half of the print is given over to enormous cream cumulus towers with soft grey undersides, painted against a teal-to-blue sky gradient. Set in white capitals across the lower band: CORAL PINK SAND DUNES, then STATE PARK, then UTAH. Portrait, 2:3.
Why you'll love it
- Sand where you expect rock — this is Utah's only major dune field, and the print leads with that rather than with arches or canyons.
- The pink is real — the colour comes from eroded Navajo sandstone, and the illustration keeps the apricot rather than pushing it toward candy pink.
- Pines meeting dunes — the meeting line between dark conifer and pale sand is the whole composition, and it is genuinely unusual.
- Sky with weight — the cumulus stack fills the upper half, giving the print real presence from across a room.
Sizes and materials
- Paper — archival matte, rolled and unframed. Nine sizes from 8" x 12" to 30" x 40", plus A4-A1 for European frames.
- Matte canvas — stretched on a wooden bar, no glare, ready to hang.
- Framed canvas — solid wood floating frame in white, black, espresso or natural.
- Pigment-based archival inks, rated to resist fading for decades indoors.
Styling it at home
Apricot sand and sage green make this an easy fit for a bedroom in warm white, oat or a soft blush wall; it also holds its own against a deeper sage. Natural oak framing melts into the sand tones, as in the room photographs above, while black framing sharpens the pines and the sandstone rim. Pair it with linen bedding, terracotta pots and unpainted wood rather than anything glossy.
Shipping and care
Unframed prints ship rolled in a protective tube. Framed canvas arrives ready to hang. Keep prints out of direct sunlight to protect the colour, and dust canvas with a dry, soft cloth.
Questions people ask
What size should I get? The ripple lines in the sand and the cloud detail reward scale, so 24" x 36" or 30" x 40" above a bed is the strongest choice. For a hallway or a gallery wall, 12" x 18" or 16" x 24" still holds the composition.
Does it come framed? Paper prints and matte canvas ship unframed. Framed canvas is a separate material option with a solid wood floating frame in white, black, espresso or natural.
What does the poster say? Three lines in white capitals at the base: CORAL PINK SAND DUNES, then STATE PARK, then UTAH. The full park name appears on the print even though the product title is shortened.
Print & materials
Every design is made to order on one of three materials:
- Fine art paper — thick archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks. The choice if you already own a frame.
- Matte canvas — gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box. No glass, no glare.
- Framed canvas in white, black, espresso or natural wood — a slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted. Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms; white and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
Sizes run from 8 x 12 inches up to large statement pieces, plus A4, A3, A2 and A1 for standard European frames. The exact sizes available for this design are listed in the Size menu above.
