A Copley Square Boston poster taken from the paving on the south side of the square, looking across at Trinity Church. The Romanesque brownstone rises in front of a mirrored glass tower that fills the whole upper half of the frame, and the church's roofs, gables and corner turret are cut sharply against the reflected blue.
About the artwork
Hard-edged vector illustration with flat planes of colour and crisp architectural detail rather than texture. The palette runs rust and terracotta through sandstone and pale granite in the church walls, red-brown clay tile on the main roof, slate blue on the transepts, and a deep teal-blue curtain wall behind, ruled into a fine glazing grid. A clear azure sky sits above, with a green lawn strip, black lamp standards, summer trees on the right and warm tan paving laid in a grid across the foreground. Type is white: BOSTON in large capitals with MASSACHUSETTS letterspaced beneath. Portrait, 2:3.
Why you'll love it
- Boston's best-known square, not a generic skyline — the specific corner of Back Bay that people stand on and photograph.
- Old stone against new glass — the contrast Copley Square is famous for, drawn in one clean composition.
- Strong architectural blues — an easy match for offices, studies and rooms with navy or grey.
- Detail that rewards a close look — arcades, turret windows and roof tiles all hold up at the larger sizes.
Sizes and materials
- Paper — archival matte, rolled and unframed. Nine sizes from 8" x 12" to 30" x 40", plus A4-A1 for European frames.
- Matte canvas — stretched on a wooden bar, no glare, ready to hang.
- Framed canvas — solid wood floating frame in white, black, espresso or natural.
- Pigment-based archival inks, rated to resist fading for decades indoors.
Styling it at home
The blue here is saturated, so it wants a calm wall. On the plain white and panelled walls in the photographs above it reads as a piece of graphic architecture; against the sage green room the terracotta stonework warms up and the blue settles down. A black frame suits the glass grid and works well over a desk in a home office. In a bedroom, an oak or natural frame softens the contrast.
Shipping and care
Unframed prints ship rolled in a protective tube. Framed canvas arrives ready to hang. Keep prints out of direct sunlight to protect the colour, and dust canvas with a dry, soft cloth.
Questions people ask
What size should I get? Because the building detail is fine, 18" x 24" is the smallest size we would suggest for a main wall. Above a console or a desk, 24" x 36" lets the arcades and window bays read clearly from a few steps back.
Does it come framed? Paper and matte canvas ship unframed. Framed canvas is stretched and set in a solid wood floating frame in white, black, espresso or natural, with hanging hardware fitted.
What does the poster say? The printed text is BOSTON in large white capitals with MASSACHUSETTS letterspaced below it. Copley Square is the location shown, but the square's name is not printed on the artwork.
Print & materials
Every design is made to order on one of three materials:
- Fine art paper — thick archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks. The choice if you already own a frame.
- Matte canvas — gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box. No glass, no glare.
- Framed canvas in white, black, espresso or natural wood — a slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted. Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms; white and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
Sizes run from 8 x 12 inches up to large statement pieces, plus A4, A3, A2 and A1 for standard European frames. The exact sizes available for this design are listed in the Size menu above.

Three ways to print it.
Same artwork, same colour-managed printing — the material decides how it hangs and how much wall it holds.

Thick archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks.
- The most affordable option, and the one to pick if you already own a frame.
- Reads slightly softer than canvas.
- Ships rolled in a rigid tube.
Matte canvas
Gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box.
- No glass, so no glare — good for bright rooms.
- Holds a touch more contrast than paper.
- Boxed with corner guards.
Framed canvas
A slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted, in white, black, espresso or natural wood.
- Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms.
- White and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
