A coffee wall art print: a woman in cat-eye glasses holding a cup and saucer at chest height, drawn in one cobalt ink under Coffee is always a good idea.
About the artwork
The contrast is the whole design. Her hair and the body of her top are solid blocks of cobalt, while her hands, her face and the cup are left as open outline with nothing filled in — dark against light on the same figure. The line itself is thin and even throughout. She wears her hair in a high bun, cat-eye glasses and one large round earring, and a camisole with thin straps. Both hands support the saucer together rather than holding the cup by its handle. Two lines of red script sit in the lower quarter, each with one word ringed by a hand-drawn blue ellipse.
Why you'll love it
- Filled and unfilled together. The strongest contrast in the set.
- Both hands on the saucer. A careful, particular gesture.
- One ink on ivory. Calm enough for any room.
- Made to order. Printed after you buy, colour-managed, never warehoused.
Sizes and materials
- Paper — archival matte, rolled and unframed. Thirteen sizes in all: 8" x 12" through 30" x 40", plus A4–A1.
- Matte canvas — stretched on a wooden bar, no glare, ready to hang. 12" x 16" to 30" x 40".
- Framed canvas — solid wood floating frame in white, black, espresso or natural. 12" x 16" to 30" x 40".
- Pigment-based archival inks, rated to resist fading for decades indoors.
Styling it at home
Hang portraits at eye level, a little lower than a still life — around 57 inches to the centre. A coffee corner, a home office or a bedroom wall all suit it, since the figure is calm rather than loud. Natural oak keeps the ivory warm; white frames sharpen the cobalt.
Shipping and care
Unframed prints ship rolled in a protective tube. Framed canvas arrives ready to hang. Keep prints out of direct sunlight to protect the colour, and dust canvas with a dry, soft cloth.
Questions people ask
What does it say? Coffee is always a good idea, with one word in each line circled by hand.
How is she holding the cup? Both hands support the saucer, not the handle.
Print & materials
Every design is made to order on one of three materials:
- Fine art paper — thick archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks. The choice if you already own a frame.
- Matte canvas — gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box. No glass, no glare.
- Framed canvas in white, black, espresso or natural wood — a slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted. Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms; white and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
Sizes run from 8 x 12 inches up to large statement pieces, plus A4, A3, A2 and A1 for standard European frames. The exact sizes available for this design are listed in the Size menu above.

Materials
Three ways to print it.
Same artwork, same colour-managed printing — the material decides how it hangs and how much wall it holds.
Fine art paper
Thick archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks.
- The most affordable option, and the one to pick if you already own a frame.
- Reads slightly softer than canvas.
- Ships rolled in a rigid tube.
Matte canvas
Gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box.
- No glass, so no glare — good for bright rooms.
- Holds a touch more contrast than paper.
- Boxed with corner guards.
Framed canvas
A slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted, in white, black, espresso or natural wood.
- Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms.
- White and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
- The usual choice for a feature wall — nothing to assemble.
