This Chengdu watercolor print shows the Anshun Covered Bridge spanning the Jin River, with a wooden teahouse and golden ginkgo trees on the bank. It is an artistic, watercolor-style interpretation of Chengdu, not an exact view of the city.
About the artwork
Fine ink lines trace the bridge's tiered roofs, the timber teahouse and the stone riverside railing, and ginkgo leaves are dabbed in loose yellow. Ginkgo gold and river blue lead the palette with willow green, dark wood brown and tile gray, plus red lanterns and terracotta. The three-arched stone bridge with its red-columned gallery crosses the middle ground, the teahouse terrace fills the lower left, and a covered boat floats on the right. A pale skyline with a slim tower sits behind, and it is late autumn, when the ginkgo turns gold. "CHENGDU" is set in spaced navy capitals across the top.
Why you'll love it
- Teahouse terrace. People sip tea on bamboo chairs under umbrellas.
- Golden ginkgo. Bright yellow leaves frame the scene and drift to the edges.
- Riverside cyclists. Riders pass along the railing path below red lanterns.
- Made to order. Printed after you buy, colour-managed, never warehoused.
Sizes and materials
- Paper — archival matte, rolled and unframed. Thirteen sizes in all: 8" x 12" through 30" x 40", plus A4–A1.
- Matte canvas — stretched on a wooden bar, no glare, ready to hang. 12" x 16" to 30" x 40".
- Framed canvas — solid wood floating frame in white, black, espresso or natural. 12" x 16" to 30" x 40".
- Pigment-based archival inks, rated to resist fading for decades indoors.
Styling it at home
The golden yellows and river blues brighten a kitchen, dining room or home office, especially with mustard, navy or rattan pieces. It is a fun gift for tea lovers or anyone who misses Sichuan.
Shipping and care
Unframed prints ship rolled in a protective tube. Framed canvas arrives ready to hang. Keep prints out of direct sunlight to protect the colour, and dust canvas with a dry, soft cloth.
Questions people ask
Is this an exact view of Chengdu? No. It is an artistic watercolor interpretation of the Anshun Bridge area, composed for mood and color rather than an exact layout.
What text is printed on it? Only the city name, "CHENGDU," set in spaced navy capitals across the top. There is no other lettering on the print.
Print & materials
Every design is made to order on one of three materials:
- Fine art paper — thick 200 gsm archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks. The choice if you already own a frame.
- Matte canvas — gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box. No glass, no glare.
- Framed canvas in white, black, espresso or natural wood — a slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted. Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms; white and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
Sizes run from 8 x 12 inches up to large statement pieces, plus A4, A3, A2 and A1 for standard European frames. The exact sizes available for this design are listed in the Size menu above.

Materials
Three ways to print it.
Same artwork, same colour-managed printing — the material decides how it hangs and how much wall it holds.
Fine art paper
Thick 200 gsm archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks.
- The most affordable option, and the one to pick if you already own a frame.
- Reads slightly softer than canvas.
- Ships rolled in a rigid tube.
Matte canvas
Gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box.
- No glass, so no glare — good for bright rooms.
- Holds a touch more contrast than paper.
- Boxed with corner guards.
Framed canvas
A slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted, in white, black, espresso or natural wood.
- Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms.
- White and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
- The usual choice for a feature wall — nothing to assemble.
