A cest la vie Stockholm skateboards poster: three decks shot straight down on white, with hand-brushed CEST / LA / VIE on the left and STOCKHOLM on the right.
About the artwork
The three boards stand in a symmetrical row and nearly fill the frame, with the camera directly above. The left deck carries its three words in rough brush strokes stacked on top of each other, so the letters look quickly painted. The center board is covered in thick silvery leopard spots, and the right board is smooth black with STOCKHOLM in clean capitals. Each deck shows eight small truck holes, which adds a realistic touch. The glossy surfaces pick up soft highlights against the flat white background.
Why you'll love it
- Words that work. A relaxed French phrase and a city name give the wall a travel-and-street mood.
- Mix of textures. Brushed lettering, fur pattern and clean type share one frame.
- Monochrome and flexible. The palette suits modern, industrial and classic rooms alike.
- Made to order. Printed after you buy, colour-managed, never warehoused.
Sizes and materials
- Paper — archival matte, rolled and unframed. Thirteen sizes in all: 8" x 12" through 30" x 40", plus A4–A1.
- Matte canvas — stretched on a wooden bar, no glare, ready to hang. 12" x 16" to 30" x 40".
- Framed canvas — solid wood floating frame in white, black, espresso or natural. 12" x 16" to 30" x 40".
- Pigment-based archival inks, rated to resist fading for decades indoors.
Styling it at home
Use it in a loft living room, an office or a teen room, above a console or beside a record shelf. Black frames sit well against the deck edges, and natural frames warm the look. It makes a good partner for the half leopard face skate decks in this range, since both use three upright boards but with different words.
Shipping and care
Unframed prints ship rolled in a protective tube. Framed canvas arrives ready to hang. Keep prints out of direct sunlight to protect the colour, and dust canvas with a dry, soft cloth.
Questions people ask
What does the text say? The left deck reads CEST / LA / VIE in brushed capitals, and the right deck reads STOCKHOLM.
Is it a drawing or a mockup? It is a clean product-style mockup, viewed from directly above.
Print & materials
Every design is made to order on one of three materials:
- Fine art paper — thick archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks. The choice if you already own a frame.
- Matte canvas — gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box. No glass, no glare.
- Framed canvas in white, black, espresso or natural wood — a slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted. Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms; white and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
Sizes run from 8 x 12 inches up to large statement pieces, plus A4, A3, A2 and A1 for standard European frames. The exact sizes available for this design are listed in the Size menu above.

Materials
Three ways to print it.
Same artwork, same colour-managed printing — the material decides how it hangs and how much wall it holds.
Fine art paper
Thick archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks.
- The most affordable option, and the one to pick if you already own a frame.
- Reads slightly softer than canvas.
- Ships rolled in a rigid tube.
Matte canvas
Gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box.
- No glass, so no glare — good for bright rooms.
- Holds a touch more contrast than paper.
- Boxed with corner guards.
Framed canvas
A slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted, in white, black, espresso or natural wood.
- Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms.
- White and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
- The usual choice for a feature wall — nothing to assemble.
