A Caminito del Rey poster looking straight up the gorge: pale limestone walls squeezing in from both sides, a timber walkway bolted to the cliff on the right, a flat bridge and a stone arch spanning the gap ahead, and green river water running far below between the rocks.
About the artwork
The gorge does the composing here. Two cliff faces frame the sheet like curtains and leave a bright wedge of sky and blue distance in the middle, which is where the eye lands. The rock is the star of the drawing — warm cream and apricot on the sunlit faces, blue-grey in the shade, and cut into blocky faceted planes with deep vertical fissures and a couple of shallow caves. On the right the boardwalk hugs the wall on slim posts, its planks drawn one by one, its handrail a run of thin uprights, and it drops away in perspective towards the bridge. Two spans cross the gap: a flat modern deck and, behind it, a lower stone arch with the river turning green-teal beneath. Aleppo pines lean out of the rock at intervals, and a pair of birds turns in the air against the shaded cliff. Foreground boulders in the bottom third are drawn bright and hard-edged with pine branches over them. Title in wide-tracked uppercase with Spain beneath. Portrait, 2:3.
Why you'll love it
- Vertigo you can hang. The walkway falls away in perspective and the river sits a long way down.
- Warm rock, cool water. Apricot limestone against teal makes the gorge feel deep rather than flat.
- Small details up close. Individual planks, railing posts, pines in the cracks and birds on the thermals.
- Made to order. Printed after you buy, colour-managed, never warehoused.
Sizes and materials
- Paper — archival matte, rolled and unframed. Nine sizes from 8" x 12" to 30" x 40", plus A4–A1 for European frames.
- Matte canvas — stretched on a wooden bar, no glare, ready to hang.
- Framed canvas — solid wood floating frame in white, black, espresso or natural.
- Pigment-based archival inks, rated to resist fading for decades indoors.
Styling it at home
A print for walkers, so it belongs where the boots and maps are — a hallway, a home office, a den. The sandstone tones sit happily on cream, putty and warm grey walls, next to leather, canvas and dark metal. Walnut or espresso frames reinforce the timber of the walkway; natural oak keeps it lighter. Hang it with the Roman aqueduct print from Segovia if you like the idea of two Spanish views where a built structure is threaded through raw landscape.
Shipping and care
Unframed prints ship rolled in a protective tube. Framed canvas arrives ready to hang. Keep prints out of direct sunlight to protect the colour, and dust canvas with a dry, soft cloth.
Questions people ask
What size should I get? Above a console or desk, 12" x 18" or 16" x 24". Above a sofa, bed or mantel, go 24" x 36" or larger so the print holds the wall.
Does it come framed? Paper prints ship unframed and fit standard frames. Choose a framed canvas if you would rather skip the framing shop.
What is the walkway made of? Timber decking on a slim frame fixed to the cliff face, drawn plank by plank with a wire-and-post handrail on the drop side.
Print & materials
Every design is made to order on one of three materials:
- Fine art paper — thick archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks. The choice if you already own a frame.
- Matte canvas — gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box. No glass, no glare.
- Framed canvas in white, black, espresso or natural wood — a slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted. Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms; white and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
Sizes run from 8 x 12 inches up to large statement pieces, plus A4, A3, A2 and A1 for standard European frames. The exact sizes available for this design are listed in the Size menu above.

Three ways to print it.
Same artwork, same colour-managed printing — the material decides how it hangs and how much wall it holds.

Thick archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks.
- The most affordable option, and the one to pick if you already own a frame.
- Reads slightly softer than canvas.
- Ships rolled in a rigid tube.
Matte canvas
Gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box.
- No glass, so no glare — good for bright rooms.
- Holds a touch more contrast than paper.
- Boxed with corner guards.
Framed canvas
A slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted, in white, black, espresso or natural wood.
- Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms.
- White and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
- The usual choice for a feature wall — nothing to assemble.
