A minimalist brushstroke wall art print of two upright charcoal strokes set side by side on a calm greige ground, their edges splitting into dry bristle marks.
About the artwork
The left stroke is the longer one, starting about a quarter of the way down and running almost to the bottom edge; the right stroke sits higher and stops short. Both lean slightly, as if swept down in one quick motion each, and their sides break into fine streaks and tiny flecks where the brush ran out of ink. At the foot of the left stroke a small drip hangs below the mark. Everything else is open, flat greige, so the two marks have plenty of room.
Why you'll love it
- Gesture, not pattern. Two strokes is all it takes — nothing fussy.
- Soft neutral ground. Greige sits easily on white, grey or warm walls.
- Office friendly. Calm enough for a workspace, lively enough to notice.
- Made to order. Printed after you buy, colour-managed, never warehoused.
Sizes and materials
- Paper — archival matte, rolled and unframed. Thirteen sizes in all: 8" x 12" through 30" x 40", plus A4–A1.
- Matte canvas — stretched on a wooden bar, no glare, ready to hang. 12" x 16" to 30" x 40".
- Framed canvas — solid wood floating frame in white, black, espresso or natural. 12" x 16" to 30" x 40".
- Pigment-based archival inks, rated to resist fading for decades indoors.
Styling it at home
Hang it above a desk or a low bench where the upright marks can echo a tall lamp or a vase of dried stems. It looks at home with concrete, pale wood and stoneware in grey and black. A black frame sharpens the ink; a natural frame warms up the greige.
Shipping and care
Unframed prints ship rolled in a protective tube. Framed canvas arrives ready to hang. Keep prints out of direct sunlight to protect the colour, and dust canvas with a dry, soft cloth.
Questions people ask
Is the brush texture raised? No. The dry-brush streaks are part of the printed image, and the surface is flat.
What colour is the background? A light greige — a pale mix of beige and grey — not white.
Print & materials
Every design is made to order on one of three materials:
- Fine art paper — thick archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks. The choice if you already own a frame.
- Matte canvas — gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box. No glass, no glare.
- Framed canvas in white, black, espresso or natural wood — a slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted. Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms; white and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
Sizes run from 8 x 12 inches up to large statement pieces, plus A4, A3, A2 and A1 for standard European frames. The exact sizes available for this design are listed in the Size menu above.

Three ways to print it.
Same artwork, same colour-managed printing — the material decides how it hangs and how much wall it holds.
Fine art paper
Thick archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks.
- The most affordable option, and the one to pick if you already own a frame.
- Reads slightly softer than canvas.
- Ships rolled in a rigid tube.
Matte canvas
Gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box.
- No glass, so no glare — good for bright rooms.
- Holds a touch more contrast than paper.
- Boxed with corner guards.
Framed canvas
A slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted, in white, black, espresso or natural wood.
- Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms.
- White and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
- The usual choice for a feature wall — nothing to assemble.
