A brushstroke wall art print in pure black and white, built from very wide strokes that cross like timber beams.
About the artwork
Broad black strokes run diagonally, vertically and horizontally over about seventy percent of the sheet and off the right and bottom edges. In the upper left they close around a white opening shaped like a slanted rectangle. Two thick diagonals cross near the middle, and a tall vertical post drops down the right side to the base. The black has a glossy, dragged look, dense in places and streaky where the brush ran dry, with a few flicks and small drips. The white ground is flat and clean.
Why you'll love it
- Maximum contrast. Just black and white, at full strength.
- Architectural feel. The strokes read like a frame of beams or scaffolding.
- Big-wall ready. The simple shapes scale up well.
- Made to order. Printed after you buy, colour-managed, never warehoused.
Sizes and materials
- Paper — archival matte, rolled and unframed. Thirteen sizes in all: 8" x 12" through 30" x 40", plus A4–A1.
- Matte canvas — stretched on a wooden bar, no glare, ready to hang. 12" x 16" to 30" x 40".
- Framed canvas — solid wood floating frame in white, black, espresso or natural. 12" x 16" to 30" x 40".
- Pigment-based archival inks, rated to resist fading for decades indoors.
Styling it at home
This is a statement piece for a white or pale gray wall: a loft living room, a studio or a modern entry. It sits well with steel, concrete, black leather and plants. Use a white frame to let the strokes float, or black for a tight graphic edge. Pair it with a softer black-on-cream stroke print from the range to balance the energy.
Shipping and care
Unframed prints ship rolled in a protective tube. Framed canvas arrives ready to hang. Keep prints out of direct sunlight to protect the colour, and dust canvas with a dry, soft cloth.
Questions people ask
Is there any signature or text? No — only black strokes on white.
Is it glossy? The glossy look is in the image; the paper and canvas finishes are matte.
Print & materials
Every design is made to order on one of three materials:
- Fine art paper — thick archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks. The choice if you already own a frame.
- Matte canvas — gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box. No glass, no glare.
- Framed canvas in white, black, espresso or natural wood — a slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted. Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms; white and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
Sizes run from 8 x 12 inches up to large statement pieces, plus A4, A3, A2 and A1 for standard European frames. The exact sizes available for this design are listed in the Size menu above.

Materials
Three ways to print it.
Same artwork, same colour-managed printing — the material decides how it hangs and how much wall it holds.
Fine art paper
Thick archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks.
- The most affordable option, and the one to pick if you already own a frame.
- Reads slightly softer than canvas.
- Ships rolled in a rigid tube.
Matte canvas
Gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box.
- No glass, so no glare — good for bright rooms.
- Holds a touch more contrast than paper.
- Boxed with corner guards.
Framed canvas
A slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted, in white, black, espresso or natural wood.
- Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms.
- White and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
- The usual choice for a feature wall — nothing to assemble.
