An abstract wall art print of loose sand-coloured loops drawn over charcoal black, knotted together into one tall shape.
About the artwork
Four or five uneven ovals overlap in the middle of the sheet, stacked so they form a single upright cluster about four-fifths the height of the frame. The line swells and thins as it travels, and its edges are ragged with tiny dry-brush nicks. Where loops cross, one simply runs over the other — there is no shading, just sand on black. A clear margin of dark ground surrounds the knot, and nothing touches the edges.
Why you'll love it
- A dark print that still feels soft. The warm sand line keeps the black from feeling heavy.
- Loose, sketched movement. Irregular loops give it a relaxed energy.
- Great contrast on light walls. It stands out clearly against white or cream paint.
- Made to order. Printed after you buy, colour-managed, never warehoused.
Sizes and materials
- Paper — archival matte, rolled and unframed. Thirteen sizes in all: 8" x 12" through 30" x 40", plus A4–A1.
- Matte canvas — stretched on a wooden bar, no glare, ready to hang. 12" x 16" to 30" x 40".
- Framed canvas — solid wood floating frame in white, black, espresso or natural. 12" x 16" to 30" x 40".
- Pigment-based archival inks, rated to resist fading for decades indoors.
Styling it at home
Against a white or pale grey wall this print becomes a focal point, so give it a spot above a bed, a dresser or a reading chair. It suits black metal, bouclé and warm wood. A natural or white frame lifts it off the wall; black makes it feel seamless and modern. For a light-and-dark pair, hang it beside a black-on-cream line print.
Shipping and care
Unframed prints ship rolled in a protective tube. Framed canvas arrives ready to hang. Keep prints out of direct sunlight to protect the colour, and dust canvas with a dry, soft cloth.
Questions people ask
Is the background pure black? It is a deep charcoal black, flat with no texture.
Is there any text? No — just the looping line on a dark ground.
Print & materials
Every design is made to order on one of three materials:
- Fine art paper — thick archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks. The choice if you already own a frame.
- Matte canvas — gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box. No glass, no glare.
- Framed canvas in white, black, espresso or natural wood — a slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted. Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms; white and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
Sizes run from 8 x 12 inches up to large statement pieces, plus A4, A3, A2 and A1 for standard European frames. The exact sizes available for this design are listed in the Size menu above.

Materials
Three ways to print it.
Same artwork, same colour-managed printing — the material decides how it hangs and how much wall it holds.
Fine art paper
Thick archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks.
- The most affordable option, and the one to pick if you already own a frame.
- Reads slightly softer than canvas.
- Ships rolled in a rigid tube.
Matte canvas
Gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box.
- No glass, so no glare — good for bright rooms.
- Holds a touch more contrast than paper.
- Boxed with corner guards.
Framed canvas
A slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted, in white, black, espresso or natural wood.
- Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms.
- White and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
- The usual choice for a feature wall — nothing to assemble.
