A playroom wall art print of a dachshund dressed as an old-fashioned pilot, sitting side-on in a brown leather flying cap and a black bomber jacket.
About the artwork
The dog faces left with a small smile, its long body stretched out behind it and its tail curving along the floor. On its head is a brown leather cap with dark goggles strapped across the top, and its ears tuck out beneath. The black jacket has a fluffy cream shearling collar and simple stitched seams. The background is plain peach beige, with wide open space around the figure, and the fur is painted with a fine, brushy texture.
Why you'll love it
- Dressed for take-off. A flying cap and shearling collar give this little dog a proud, ready-to-fly look.
- Calm and simple. One character on a plain peach ground keeps the wall uncluttered.
- Warm neutrals. Peach, brown, black and cream suit natural wood and earthy rooms.
- Made to order. Printed after you buy, colour-managed, never warehoused.
Sizes and materials
- Paper — archival matte, rolled and unframed. 12" x 8" through 54" x 36", plus A4–A1.
- Matte canvas — stretched on a wooden bar, no glare, ready to hang. 18" x 12" to 48" x 32".
- Framed canvas — solid wood floating frame in white, black, espresso or natural. 18" x 12" to 48" x 32".
- Pigment-based archival inks, rated to resist fading for decades indoors.
Styling it at home
Let it sit above a low bookshelf with plenty of wall around it so the empty space can breathe. A natural or espresso frame picks up the brown of the cap and fur. It also works well beside travel or aeroplane themed decor in a shared playroom.
Shipping and care
Unframed prints ship rolled in a protective tube. Framed canvas arrives ready to hang. Keep prints out of direct sunlight to protect the colour, and dust canvas with a dry, soft cloth.
Questions people ask
Is it landscape? Yes. The design is wide, with the dog's long body running across the frame.
Is the background patterned? No. The background is a plain peach beige, which keeps the focus on the dog.
Print & materials
Every design is made to order on one of three materials:
- Fine art paper — thick archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks. The choice if you already own a frame.
- Matte canvas — gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box. No glass, no glare.
- Framed canvas in white, black, espresso or natural wood — a slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted. Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms; white and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
Sizes run from 8 x 12 inches up to large statement pieces, plus A4, A3, A2 and A1 for standard European frames. The exact sizes available for this design are listed in the Size menu above.

Materials
Three ways to print it.
Same artwork, same colour-managed printing — the material decides how it hangs and how much wall it holds.
Fine art paper
Thick archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks.
- The most affordable option, and the one to pick if you already own a frame.
- Reads slightly softer than canvas.
- Ships rolled in a rigid tube.
Matte canvas
Gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box.
- No glass, so no glare — good for bright rooms.
- Holds a touch more contrast than paper.
- Boxed with corner guards.
Framed canvas
A slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted, in white, black, espresso or natural wood.
- Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms.
- White and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
- The usual choice for a feature wall — nothing to assemble.
