An Alberobello travel poster down a sloping lane: dozens of trulli with their dry-stone conical roofs packed shoulder to shoulder on both sides, whitewashed walls catching hard midday sun, a pale paved street dropping away between them, and olive trees closing the view at the top.
About the artwork
The roofs are the subject and they are drawn properly — each cone built from concentric courses of grey limestone slabs, narrowing to a small pinnacle, with a lime-washed symbol on one or two of them. Repeated forty times across the frame that gives the print a texture nothing else in the series has. Against the grey stone the walls are brilliant white with cool blue shadow, and the street between is warm sand, which is the only warm colour in the lower half. The sky is a single strong cerulean, deliberately flat, so the crowd of cones reads as silhouette along the skyline. A few olive and fig trees soften the top edge. Title in wide-tracked uppercase with Italy beneath. Portrait, 2:3.
Why you'll love it
- Forty stone cones. A repeating shape that turns architecture into pattern.
- White, grey and one strong blue. Clean, bright and easy to live with.
- Nowhere else looks like this. The trulli are unmistakable at any size.
- Made to order. Printed after you buy, colour-managed, never warehoused.
Sizes and materials
- Paper — archival matte, rolled and unframed. Nine sizes from 8" x 12" to 30" x 40", plus A4–A1 for European frames.
- Matte canvas — stretched on a wooden bar, no glare, ready to hang.
- Framed canvas — solid wood floating frame in white, black, espresso or natural.
- Pigment-based archival inks, rated to resist fading for decades indoors.
Styling it at home
Bright and high-key, so it lifts a plain white or pale grey wall and looks crisp beside linen, rattan and pale wood. Natural and white frames keep it fresh; black adds a weight the image does not want. It works in a kitchen, bathroom or bedroom, and pairs well with the Matera print as a two-piece Puglia and Basilicata wall — one white, one ochre.
Shipping and care
Unframed prints ship rolled in a protective tube. Framed canvas arrives ready to hang. Keep prints out of direct sunlight to protect the colour, and dust canvas with a dry, soft cloth.
Questions people ask
What size should I get? Above a console or desk, 12" x 18" or 16" x 24". Above a sofa, bed or mantel, go 24" x 36" or larger so the print holds the wall.
Does it come framed? Paper prints ship unframed and fit standard frames. Choose a framed canvas if you would rather skip the framing shop.
Where is the view from? From the top of one of the sloping lanes in the trulli quarter, looking down between the roofs.
Print & materials
Every design is made to order on one of three materials:
- Fine art paper — thick archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks. The choice if you already own a frame.
- Matte canvas — gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box. No glass, no glare.
- Framed canvas in white, black, espresso or natural wood — a slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted. Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms; white and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
Sizes run from 8 x 12 inches up to large statement pieces, plus A4, A3, A2 and A1 for standard European frames. The exact sizes available for this design are listed in the Size menu above.

Materials
Three ways to print it.
Same artwork, same colour-managed printing — the material decides how it hangs and how much wall it holds.
Fine art paper
Thick archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks.
- The most affordable option, and the one to pick if you already own a frame.
- Reads slightly softer than canvas.
- Ships rolled in a rigid tube.
Matte canvas
Gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box.
- No glass, so no glare — good for bright rooms.
- Holds a touch more contrast than paper.
- Boxed with corner guards.
Framed canvas
A slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted, in white, black, espresso or natural wood.
- Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms.
- White and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
- The usual choice for a feature wall — nothing to assemble.
