This Abu Dhabi watercolor print shows the white domes and four minarets of the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque mirrored in a long reflecting pool. It is an artistic, watercolor-style interpretation of Abu Dhabi, not an exact view of the city.
About the artwork
Much of the mosque is left as bare white paper, shaped only with pale blue-gray shadows and fine ink lines. Gilded finials and column tops are dotted in gold, and the pool is tiled in deep and light blues that hold the dome reflections. Marble white, turquoise water and olive date palms create a bright, clean palette with gold highlights. The domes and minarets sit at center, an arched colonnade runs to the right, and the pool cuts diagonally up from the bottom between stone walkways. The light is the clear sun of an Abu Dhabi winter. "ABU DHABI" is set in spaced navy capitals across the top.
Why you'll love it
- Light, airy tone. White paper does most of the work, giving the mosque a soft glow.
- Gold accents. Small touches of gold on the finials and columns catch the eye.
- Reflecting pool. A long blue pool leads straight to the domes, lined with date palms.
- Made to order. Printed after you buy, colour-managed, never warehoused.
Sizes and materials
- Paper — archival matte, rolled and unframed. Thirteen sizes in all: 8" x 12" through 30" x 40", plus A4–A1.
- Matte canvas — stretched on a wooden bar, no glare, ready to hang. 12" x 16" to 30" x 40".
- Framed canvas — solid wood floating frame in white, black, espresso or natural. 12" x 16" to 30" x 40".
- Pigment-based archival inks, rated to resist fading for decades indoors.
Styling it at home
The white, blue and gold palette fits a calm living room, a bright bedroom or a minimalist office. It makes an elegant gift for someone who has lived in the UAE or visited the Grand Mosque.
Shipping and care
Unframed prints ship rolled in a protective tube. Framed canvas arrives ready to hang. Keep prints out of direct sunlight to protect the colour, and dust canvas with a dry, soft cloth.
Questions people ask
Is this an exact view of Abu Dhabi? No. It is an artistic interpretation of the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque and its reflecting pool, simplified into a clean, light watercolor composition.
What text is printed on it? Only the city name, "ABU DHABI," set in spaced navy capitals across the top. There is no other lettering on the print.
Print & materials
Every design is made to order on one of three materials:
- Fine art paper — thick 200 gsm archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks. The choice if you already own a frame.
- Matte canvas — gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box. No glass, no glare.
- Framed canvas in white, black, espresso or natural wood — a slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted. Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms; white and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
Sizes run from 8 x 12 inches up to large statement pieces, plus A4, A3, A2 and A1 for standard European frames. The exact sizes available for this design are listed in the Size menu above.
Paper weight, inks, frame details and care are all in our Material Guide.

Three ways to print it.
Same artwork, same colour-managed printing — the material decides how it hangs and how much wall it holds.

Thick 200 gsm archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks.
- The most affordable option, and the one to pick if you already own a frame.
- Reads slightly softer than canvas.
- Ships rolled in a rigid tube.
Matte canvas
Gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box.
- No glass, so no glare — good for bright rooms.
- Holds a touch more contrast than paper.
- Boxed with corner guards.
Framed canvas
A slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted, in white, black, espresso or natural wood.
- Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms.
- White and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
