This Vancouver watercolor print shows the Lions Gate Bridge spanning Burrard Inlet, with the snowy North Shore Mountains behind and evergreen forest in the foreground. It is an artistic, watercolor-style interpretation of Vancouver, not an exact view of the city.
About the artwork
Fir trees in the left foreground are layered in deep green and gold, and the water is washed blue with white paper wave lines. Forest green and glacial blue lead the palette, with jade-green bridge towers, a red-and-green cargo ship and white snow as accents. The bridge crosses the middle of the print with one tower left of center, while a cargo ship heads into port and homes peek through the trees on the far shore. A fir-covered cliff with the Stanley Park Seawall curving below fills the left foreground, and snowcapped mountains fill the background. Long green-yellow drips and blue-yellow splatters soften the edges into a white paper border in late spring. "VANCOUVER" is set in spaced navy capitals across the top.
Why you'll love it
- Floatplane overhead. A small seaplane flies across the white sky.
- Cyclist on the Seawall. A rider follows the waterfront path below the cliff.
- Cargo ship arriving. A large freighter glides toward the bridge on its way into port.
- Made to order. Printed after you buy, colour-managed, never warehoused.
Sizes and materials
- Paper — archival matte, rolled and unframed. Thirteen sizes in all: 8" x 12" through 30" x 40", plus A4–A1.
- Matte canvas — stretched on a wooden bar, no glare, ready to hang. 12" x 16" to 30" x 40".
- Framed canvas — solid wood floating frame in white, black, espresso or natural. 12" x 16" to 30" x 40".
- Pigment-based archival inks, rated to resist fading for decades indoors.
Styling it at home
Forest greens and glacier blues suit a cabin-style living room, an office or a bedroom with natural wood. It is a fitting gift for an outdoors lover or someone who moved away from the West Coast.
Shipping and care
Unframed prints ship rolled in a protective tube. Framed canvas arrives ready to hang. Keep prints out of direct sunlight to protect the colour, and dust canvas with a dry, soft cloth.
Questions people ask
Is this an exact view of Vancouver? No. It is an artistic interpretation of the bridge and inlet. The mountains are painted as one snowy range, so individual peaks are simplified.
What text is printed on it? Only the city name, "VANCOUVER," set in spaced navy capitals across the top. There is no other lettering on the print.
Print & materials
Every design is made to order on one of three materials:
- Fine art paper — thick 200 gsm archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks. The choice if you already own a frame.
- Matte canvas — gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box. No glass, no glare.
- Framed canvas in white, black, espresso or natural wood — a slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted. Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms; white and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
Sizes run from 8 x 12 inches up to large statement pieces, plus A4, A3, A2 and A1 for standard European frames. The exact sizes available for this design are listed in the Size menu above.

Three ways to print it.
Same artwork, same colour-managed printing — the material decides how it hangs and how much wall it holds.

Thick 200 gsm archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks.
- The most affordable option, and the one to pick if you already own a frame.
- Reads slightly softer than canvas.
- Ships rolled in a rigid tube.
Matte canvas
Gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box.
- No glass, so no glare — good for bright rooms.
- Holds a touch more contrast than paper.
- Boxed with corner guards.
Framed canvas
A slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted, in white, black, espresso or natural wood.
- Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms.
- White and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
- The usual choice for a feature wall — nothing to assemble.
