A nursery is designed around a person who cannot tell you what they think of it, so the art has to work for two audiences at once. One house style

Safety sets the rules above a cot. Hang nothing directly over the sleeping space, or if you do, use canvas rather than glass and fix it with a proper wall anchor rather than a picture hook. The wall opposite the cot is the better choice anyway, because that is what a child actually looks at while lying awake. Keep the arrangement low, around three feet from the floor, so the room still reads well once they are standing and walking, and it can stay in place for years.
