This Rockefeller Center watercolor print shows 30 Rockefeller Plaza in New York City behind the holiday Christmas tree, the golden Prometheus statue and the ice rink. It is an artistic, watercolor-style interpretation of the plaza, not an exact view.
About the artwork
Fine ink lines trace the tower's setbacks and windows and the white trumpeting angels, while the ice rink and snow are left as white paper. The palette is limestone beige, deep pine green and the blue of glass towers, accented by the gold of Prometheus and the star on the tree, plus red wreath bows and berries. 30 Rockefeller Plaza rises in the center, seen from the Fifth Avenue end of the Channel Gardens looking west, with the decorated tree and Prometheus above the sunken rink and its ring of flagpoles. Planted beds and angel sculptures line the stone path in the foreground, low Art Deco buildings hung with wreaths frame the sides, and the Midtown skyline sits behind. It is winter in the holiday season with a light dusting of snow, and red drips and splatter mark the edges of the white border. "NEW YORK" is set in spaced navy capitals across the top.
Why you'll love it
- Holiday season scene. The decorated Christmas tree, wreaths with red bows and a light snowfall set a festive December mood.
- Skaters on the rink. Tiny ice skaters circle the sunken rink beneath the golden Prometheus statue.
- Channel Gardens angels. White trumpeting angel sculptures lead the eye down the garden path toward the tree.
- Made to order. Printed after you buy, colour-managed, never warehoused.
Sizes and materials
- Paper — archival matte, rolled and unframed. Thirteen sizes in all: 8" x 12" through 30" x 40", plus A4–A1.
- Matte canvas — stretched on a wooden bar, no glare, ready to hang. 12" x 16" to 30" x 40".
- Framed canvas — solid wood floating frame in white, black, espresso or natural. 12" x 16" to 30" x 40".
- Pigment-based archival inks, rated to resist fading for decades indoors.
Styling it at home
The pine green, red and gold accents make it a natural pick for holiday decor in a living room, dining room or entryway, and the beige and blue keep it easy to leave up all year. Give it to someone who loves New York at Christmas, or as a memory of a December trip to see the tree. Pair it with our New York City watercolor print for a two-piece set.
Shipping and care
Unframed prints ship rolled in a protective tube. Framed canvas arrives ready to hang. Keep prints out of direct sunlight to protect the colour, and dust canvas with a dry, soft cloth.
Questions people ask
Is this an exact view of Rockefeller Center? No. It is an artistic interpretation of the plaza during the holidays, painted in a watercolor style rather than copied exactly.
What text is printed on it? Only the city name, "NEW YORK," set in spaced navy capitals across the top. There is no other lettering on the print.
Print & materials
Every design is made to order on one of three materials:
- Fine art paper — thick 200 gsm archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks. The choice if you already own a frame.
- Matte canvas — gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box. No glass, no glare.
- Framed canvas in white, black, espresso or natural wood — a slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted. Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms; white and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
Sizes run from 8 x 12 inches up to large statement pieces, plus A4, A3, A2 and A1 for standard European frames. The exact sizes available for this design are listed in the Size menu above.
Paper weight, inks, frame details and care are all in our Material Guide.

Three ways to print it.
Same artwork, same colour-managed printing — the material decides how it hangs and how much wall it holds.

Thick 200 gsm archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks.
- The most affordable option, and the one to pick if you already own a frame.
- Reads slightly softer than canvas.
- Ships rolled in a rigid tube.
Matte canvas
Gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box.
- No glass, so no glare — good for bright rooms.
- Holds a touch more contrast than paper.
- Boxed with corner guards.
Framed canvas
A slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted, in white, black, espresso or natural wood.
- Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms.
- White and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
