This Panama City, Panama watercolor print shows the white bell towers of the Metropolitan Cathedral on Plaza de la Independencia in Casco Viejo, with the modern skyline across the bay. It is an artistic, watercolor-style interpretation of Panama City, Panama, not an exact view of the city.
About the artwork
The bell towers are left as white paper with light gray shading and fine ink lines on the bells and reliefs. The gray-brown stone facade between them shows carved niche statues, and the colonial houses are flat washes of yellow, coral and turquoise. Pearl white, pastel tones and palm green lead the palette, with pink bougainvillea and bay blue as accents. The cathedral stands right of center with its towers in the upper third, pastel townhouses with iron balconies line the left, and glass towers rise across the water behind. A white bandstand and palms fill the plaza in the foreground under clear dry-season skies. "PANAMA CITY" is set in spaced navy capitals across the top.
Why you'll love it
- Old and new together. Colonial Casco Viejo sits in front of the glass towers of the modern city.
- White bandstand. A bandstand anchors the square while a cyclist rides past.
- Shaved ice cart. A vendor sells shaved ice under a blue umbrella.
- Made to order. Printed after you buy, colour-managed, never warehoused.
Sizes and materials
- Paper — archival matte, rolled and unframed. Thirteen sizes in all: 8" x 12" through 30" x 40", plus A4–A1.
- Matte canvas — stretched on a wooden bar, no glare, ready to hang. 12" x 16" to 30" x 40".
- Framed canvas — solid wood floating frame in white, black, espresso or natural. 12" x 16" to 30" x 40".
- Pigment-based archival inks, rated to resist fading for decades indoors.
Styling it at home
The pearl white and pastel palette fits a bright living room, a coastal-style bedroom or a guest room. Give it as a housewarming gift to someone moving to Panama or to a couple who traveled there together.
Shipping and care
Unframed prints ship rolled in a protective tube. Framed canvas arrives ready to hang. Keep prints out of direct sunlight to protect the colour, and dust canvas with a dry, soft cloth.
Questions people ask
Is this an exact view of Panama City, Panama? No. It is an artistic interpretation of Casco Viejo and the skyline, combined into one watercolor view rather than an exact scene.
What text is printed on it? Only the city name, "PANAMA CITY," set in spaced navy capitals across the top. There is no other lettering on the print.
Print & materials
Every design is made to order on one of three materials:
- Fine art paper — thick 200 gsm archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks. The choice if you already own a frame.
- Matte canvas — gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box. No glass, no glare.
- Framed canvas in white, black, espresso or natural wood — a slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted. Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms; white and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
Sizes run from 8 x 12 inches up to large statement pieces, plus A4, A3, A2 and A1 for standard European frames. The exact sizes available for this design are listed in the Size menu above.
