A kitchen wall art print: a shared dinner table seen straight from above, drawn in green line with flat yellow, inside a hand-drawn border.
About the artwork
The whole meal is laid out flat, as if photographed from directly overhead, and the border is four brush strokes left open at the corners. Solid green fills the insides of the bowls and plates while turmeric sits under the food itself, sliding off the outlines in the usual off-register way. A bowl of noodles with chopsticks resting across the rim occupies the upper left, a teapot with a looped handle the upper right, a plate of dumplings with a long spoon sits at the centre, a small dipping bowl at the lower left, and a second pair of chopsticks lies loose on the table at the lower right. Underneath it all runs a broken-stroke check cloth.
Why you'll love it
- Flat-lay, drawn by hand. The overhead view without the photograph.
- Two inks, warm and fresh. Grass green with turmeric on grey-cream.
- A shared meal. Two sets of chopsticks, not one.
- Made to order. Printed after you buy, colour-managed, never warehoused.
Sizes and materials
- Paper — archival matte, rolled and unframed. Thirteen sizes in all: 8" x 12" through 30" x 40", plus A4–A1.
- Matte canvas — stretched on a wooden bar, no glare, ready to hang. 12" x 16" to 30" x 40".
- Framed canvas — solid wood floating frame in white, black, espresso or natural. 12" x 16" to 30" x 40".
- Pigment-based archival inks, rated to resist fading for decades indoors.
Styling it at home
Overhead compositions read best when they are hung flat-on and roughly square to the eye, so give this one a clear stretch of wall at normal picture height rather than tucking it above a tall cabinet. A dining room or a kitchen with a table in it is the right room. Natural wood keeps the greens fresh; black frames make the drawing feel more graphic.
Shipping and care
Unframed prints ship rolled in a protective tube. Framed canvas arrives ready to hang. Keep prints out of direct sunlight to protect the colour, and dust canvas with a dry, soft cloth.
Questions people ask
What does the caption say? TRADITIONAL DINNER, with a small gallery-style caption line at the foot.
Is the border printed? Yes — four hand-drawn strokes, left open at the corners.
Print & materials
Every design is made to order on one of three materials:
- Fine art paper — thick archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks. The choice if you already own a frame.
- Matte canvas — gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box. No glass, no glare.
- Framed canvas in white, black, espresso or natural wood — a slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted. Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms; white and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
Sizes run from 8 x 12 inches up to large statement pieces, plus A4, A3, A2 and A1 for standard European frames. The exact sizes available for this design are listed in the Size menu above.

Materials
Three ways to print it.
Same artwork, same colour-managed printing — the material decides how it hangs and how much wall it holds.
Fine art paper
Thick archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks.
- The most affordable option, and the one to pick if you already own a frame.
- Reads slightly softer than canvas.
- Ships rolled in a rigid tube.
Matte canvas
Gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box.
- No glass, so no glare — good for bright rooms.
- Holds a touch more contrast than paper.
- Boxed with corner guards.
Framed canvas
A slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted, in white, black, espresso or natural wood.
- Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms.
- White and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
- The usual choice for a feature wall — nothing to assemble.
