A boho wall art print that flips the usual neutral palette: six soft taupe stripes stand upright on a deep charcoal ground.
About the artwork
The stripes form a loose rectangle in the middle of the sheet, taking up a little over half its width and about three fifths of its height. Each one wavers slightly as it runs down, with lumpy, uneven edges and rounded ends that never line up exactly with their neighbours. The taupe is flat, with no brush texture, so the character comes entirely from the outlines. A wide charcoal margin surrounds the group on every side, and there is no text anywhere on the print.
Why you'll love it
- Dark but warm. Charcoal and mocha feel cozy rather than stark.
- A change from cream grounds. Gives a neutral gallery wall one deep, grounding piece.
- Simple enough for any size. Six shapes read clearly from a small frame to a large canvas.
- Made to order. Printed after you buy, colour-managed, never warehoused.
Sizes and materials
- Paper — archival matte, rolled and unframed. Thirteen sizes in all: 8" x 12" through 30" x 40", plus A4–A1.
- Matte canvas — stretched on a wooden bar, no glare, ready to hang. 12" x 16" to 30" x 40".
- Framed canvas — solid wood floating frame in white, black, espresso or natural. 12" x 16" to 30" x 40".
- Pigment-based archival inks, rated to resist fading for decades indoors.
Styling it at home
Hang it on a pale wall where the dark ground can stand out: above a linen sofa, over a bed with oatmeal bedding, or at the end of a hallway. Tan leather, walnut and dried grasses all echo the taupe. A black frame blends into the ground for a borderless look, while natural oak frames it with a warm edge.
Shipping and care
Unframed prints ship rolled in a protective tube. Framed canvas arrives ready to hang. Keep prints out of direct sunlight to protect the colour, and dust canvas with a dry, soft cloth.
Questions people ask
Is the background black? It is a deep charcoal black, printed flat across the whole sheet.
Are the stripes textured? No — they are smooth, flat shapes; only their wavy edges look hand-cut.
Print & materials
Every design is made to order on one of three materials:
- Fine art paper — thick archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks. The choice if you already own a frame.
- Matte canvas — gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box. No glass, no glare.
- Framed canvas in white, black, espresso or natural wood — a slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted. Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms; white and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
Sizes run from 8 x 12 inches up to large statement pieces, plus A4, A3, A2 and A1 for standard European frames. The exact sizes available for this design are listed in the Size menu above.

Three ways to print it.
Same artwork, same colour-managed printing — the material decides how it hangs and how much wall it holds.

Thick archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks.
- The most affordable option, and the one to pick if you already own a frame.
- Reads slightly softer than canvas.

Matte canvas
Gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box.
- No glass, so no glare — good for bright rooms.
- Holds a touch more contrast than paper.
- Boxed with corner guards.
Framed canvas
A slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted, in white, black, espresso or natural wood.
- Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms.
- White and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
