A kinda care kinda don't tape letter poster: the phrase KINDA CARE KINDA DON'T built from strips of cream paper tape, photographed on a flat black background.
About the artwork
Four lines of capital letters are stacked to fill the sheet from top to bottom. Each letter is made from short pieces of tape laid over one another, so you can see where one strip ends and the next begins. The torn ends leave small ragged edges that give the letters a hand-built feel. Where strips overlap, the tape looks slightly darker, adding quiet depth to the flat graphic. The lines are even and close together, which makes the shrugging phrase read as one solid block.
Why you'll love it
- Relatable and low-key. A dry line that gets a smile without trying too hard.
- Handmade look, crisp contrast. Pale letters on black stay readable from across the room.
- Made for a pair. It sits well next to another short phrase for a matching set.
- Made to order. Printed after you buy, colour-managed, never warehoused.
Sizes and materials
- Paper — archival matte, rolled and unframed. Thirteen sizes in all: 8" x 12" through 30" x 40", plus A4–A1.
- Matte canvas — stretched on a wooden bar, no glare, ready to hang. 12" x 16" to 30" x 40".
- Framed canvas — solid wood floating frame in white, black, espresso or natural. 12" x 16" to 30" x 40".
- Pigment-based archival inks, rated to resist fading for decades indoors.
Styling it at home
Hang it above a sofa, a bed or a home office shelf in a room with warm wood and soft textiles. A black frame blends with the background for a seamless look, and a natural frame brings out the cream tape. Pair it with the lowercase taped phrase about taking it easy for a two-piece set.
Shipping and care
Unframed prints ship rolled in a protective tube. Framed canvas arrives ready to hang. Keep prints out of direct sunlight to protect the colour, and dust canvas with a dry, soft cloth.
Questions people ask
Is the tape real? It is a photograph of real paper tape letters, printed flat on paper or canvas.
Does it have a matching print? Yes, a companion design spells a relaxed lowercase phrase in the same cream tape on black.
Print & materials
Every design is made to order on one of three materials:
- Fine art paper — thick archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks. The choice if you already own a frame.
- Matte canvas — gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box. No glass, no glare.
- Framed canvas in white, black, espresso or natural wood — a slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted. Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms; white and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
Sizes run from 8 x 12 inches up to large statement pieces, plus A4, A3, A2 and A1 for standard European frames. The exact sizes available for this design are listed in the Size menu above.

Framed canvas
A slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted, in white, black, espresso or natural wood.
- Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms.
