This Doha watercolor print shows the Museum of Islamic Art on its island across Doha Bay, with the West Bay skyline in the distance and wooden dhows moored along the Corniche. It is an artistic, watercolor-style interpretation of Doha, not an exact view of the city.
About the artwork
The stepped cream museum is mostly bare paper with light gray shading. The dhows' wooden hulls are built up in warm brown layers, and their rigging is drawn in fine ink. Turquoise bay water, limestone cream and dhow brown lead the palette, with violet-blue towers and the maroon of a Qatari flag as accents. The museum sits right of center among palms, the West Bay towers stand far left, and the paved Corniche runs diagonally from the lower left with lanterns and four dhows. A soft, slightly hazy late-winter sun hangs over the bay. "DOHA" is set in spaced navy capitals across the top.
Why you'll love it
- Falconer on the Corniche. A man in a white thobe holds a falcon on his gloved hand.
- Wooden dhows. Four traditional boats with cloth awnings line the waterfront.
- Bay and skyline. Old boats and lanterns in front contrast with glass towers across the water.
- Made to order. Printed after you buy, colour-managed, never warehoused.
Sizes and materials
- Paper — archival matte, rolled and unframed. Thirteen sizes in all: 8" x 12" through 30" x 40", plus A4–A1.
- Matte canvas — stretched on a wooden bar, no glare, ready to hang. 12" x 16" to 30" x 40".
- Framed canvas — solid wood floating frame in white, black, espresso or natural. 12" x 16" to 30" x 40".
- Pigment-based archival inks, rated to resist fading for decades indoors.
Styling it at home
Turquoise, cream and brown pair well with a neutral living room, a home office or a hallway with brass touches. It suits someone who worked in Doha or a traveler with a stopover memory.
Shipping and care
Unframed prints ship rolled in a protective tube. Framed canvas arrives ready to hang. Keep prints out of direct sunlight to protect the colour, and dust canvas with a dry, soft cloth.
Questions people ask
Is this an exact view of Doha? No. It is an artistic interpretation of the Museum of Islamic Art and the Corniche, arranged so the museum, skyline and dhows share one frame.
What text is printed on it? Only the city name, "DOHA," set in spaced navy capitals across the top. There is no other lettering on the print.
Print & materials
Every design is made to order on one of three materials:
- Fine art paper — thick 200 gsm archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks. The choice if you already own a frame.
- Matte canvas — gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box. No glass, no glare.
- Framed canvas in white, black, espresso or natural wood — a slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted. Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms; white and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
Sizes run from 8 x 12 inches up to large statement pieces, plus A4, A3, A2 and A1 for standard European frames. The exact sizes available for this design are listed in the Size menu above.

Three ways to print it.
Same artwork, same colour-managed printing — the material decides how it hangs and how much wall it holds.
Fine art paper
Thick 200 gsm archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks.
- The most affordable option, and the one to pick if you already own a frame.
- Reads slightly softer than canvas.
- Ships rolled in a rigid tube.
Matte canvas
Gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box.
- No glass, so no glare — good for bright rooms.
- Holds a touch more contrast than paper.
- Boxed with corner guards.
Framed canvas
A slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted, in white, black, espresso or natural wood.
- Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms.
- White and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
