This Muscat watercolor print shows Muttrah Fort on its rocky point above the curving Muttrah Corniche, with the bare Hajar Mountains behind. It is an artistic, watercolor-style interpretation of Muscat, not an exact view of the city.
About the artwork
The fort and rock faces are layered in sandy browns, with fine ink outlining the battlements. The white waterfront houses are mostly bare paper with violet-blue shadows, and the harbor is a turquoise wash with horizontal reflections. Turquoise water, corniche white and cinnamon-brown mountains set the palette, with a blue mosque dome and a red Omani flag as accents. The fort sits in the upper right with its flag, a row of houses with carved wooden balconies follows the curved shore, and a domed mosque with a slender minaret stands on the left. Clear winter sun lights the harbor and its boats. "MUSCAT" is set in spaced navy capitals across the top.
Why you'll love it
- Fort on the rocks. The fort sits high on its outcrop with a flag on top.
- Carved balconies. White houses with wooden balconies line the curve of the corniche.
- Harbor boats. A wooden dhow with a cloth canopy and small fishing boats float in front.
- Made to order. Printed after you buy, colour-managed, never warehoused.
Sizes and materials
- Paper — archival matte, rolled and unframed. Thirteen sizes in all: 8" x 12" through 30" x 40", plus A4–A1.
- Matte canvas — stretched on a wooden bar, no glare, ready to hang. 12" x 16" to 30" x 40".
- Framed canvas — solid wood floating frame in white, black, espresso or natural. 12" x 16" to 30" x 40".
- Pigment-based archival inks, rated to resist fading for decades indoors.
Styling it at home
Its turquoise and sandy brown tones feel at home in a living room, a sunroom or an office with natural textures. A thoughtful gift for an expat who lived in Oman or anyone drawn to Arabian coastlines.
Shipping and care
Unframed prints ship rolled in a protective tube. Framed canvas arrives ready to hang. Keep prints out of direct sunlight to protect the colour, and dust canvas with a dry, soft cloth.
Questions people ask
Is this an exact view of Muscat? No. It is an artistic interpretation of Muttrah Fort and the corniche, painted to capture the harbor, houses and mountains together.
What text is printed on it? Only the city name, "MUSCAT," set in spaced navy capitals across the top. There is no other lettering on the print.
Print & materials
Every design is made to order on one of three materials:
- Fine art paper — thick 200 gsm archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks. The choice if you already own a frame.
- Matte canvas — gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box. No glass, no glare.
- Framed canvas in white, black, espresso or natural wood — a slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted. Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms; white and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
Sizes run from 8 x 12 inches up to large statement pieces, plus A4, A3, A2 and A1 for standard European frames. The exact sizes available for this design are listed in the Size menu above.

Materials
Three ways to print it.
Same artwork, same colour-managed printing — the material decides how it hangs and how much wall it holds.
Fine art paper
Thick 200 gsm archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks.
- The most affordable option, and the one to pick if you already own a frame.
- Reads slightly softer than canvas.
- Ships rolled in a rigid tube.
Matte canvas
Gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box.
- No glass, so no glare — good for bright rooms.
- Holds a touch more contrast than paper.
- Boxed with corner guards.
Framed canvas
A slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted, in white, black, espresso or natural wood.
- Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms.
- White and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
- The usual choice for a feature wall — nothing to assemble.
