A ciao surfboards beach poster in black and white: five surfboards stand in a row on the sand, each carrying one character of CIAO!, in front of a wooden fence.
About the artwork
The boards stand close together in the lower middle of the frame, tall enough to read like letters on a sign. The center board is black with a white A, and the rest are white with black letters, so the middle one anchors the row. Behind them, a cross-braced wooden fence runs across the scene, and the sea glitters beyond it under a hazy sky. The boards cast dark shadows on the sand in front. It is a simple visual pun, a beach greeting spelled out with beach gear.
Why you'll love it
- A cheerful hello. A friendly greeting for an entry, a guest room or a beach house.
- Typography meets photography. The word reads clearly while the scene stays real.
- Easy coastal accent. It brings a seaside note without blue or sand tones.
- Made to order. Printed after you buy, colour-managed, never warehoused.
Sizes and materials
- Paper — archival matte, rolled and unframed. Thirteen sizes in all: 8" x 12" through 30" x 40", plus A4–A1.
- Matte canvas — stretched on a wooden bar, no glare, ready to hang. 12" x 16" to 30" x 40".
- Framed canvas — solid wood floating frame in white, black, espresso or natural. 12" x 16" to 30" x 40".
- Pigment-based archival inks, rated to resist fading for decades indoors.
Styling it at home
Hang it in an entryway, a guest room or a beach house living room. White or natural frames keep it breezy, and black sharpens the board outlines. Pair it with the SURF palms print, which also spells its word on boards, for a matching beach set.
Shipping and care
Unframed prints ship rolled in a protective tube. Framed canvas arrives ready to hang. Keep prints out of direct sunlight to protect the colour, and dust canvas with a dry, soft cloth.
Questions people ask
What does it spell? CIAO! across five boards, one character on each, with a white A on the black middle board.
Is it a photo? Yes, it is a black and white beach photograph with the letters on the boards.
Print & materials
Every design is made to order on one of three materials:
- Fine art paper — thick archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks. The choice if you already own a frame.
- Matte canvas — gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box. No glass, no glare.
- Framed canvas in white, black, espresso or natural wood — a slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted. Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms; white and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
Sizes run from 8 x 12 inches up to large statement pieces, plus A4, A3, A2 and A1 for standard European frames. The exact sizes available for this design are listed in the Size menu above.

Materials
Three ways to print it.
Same artwork, same colour-managed printing — the material decides how it hangs and how much wall it holds.
Fine art paper
Thick archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks.
- The most affordable option, and the one to pick if you already own a frame.
- Reads slightly softer than canvas.
- Ships rolled in a rigid tube.
Matte canvas
Gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box.
- No glass, so no glare — good for bright rooms.
- Holds a touch more contrast than paper.
- Boxed with corner guards.
Framed canvas
A slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted, in white, black, espresso or natural wood.
- Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms.
- White and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
- The usual choice for a feature wall — nothing to assemble.
