A fruit wall art print: four halved pears set on a plate filled solid cobalt, under the words absolutely sweet.
About the artwork
The plate is drawn in reverse: instead of sitting on empty paper, the inside of the dish is flooded with solid cobalt and the pear halves are cut out of it, standing pale against the dark. Their flesh is a flat turmeric fill with blue drawn over the top for the core and the pips, so each fruit carries two layers. All four are halved lengthways and arranged in two symmetrical rows. The rim of the plate is marked with short dashes. One long stem reaches down through the rim and touches the word sweet, which is how the drawing and the lettering connect.
Why you'll love it
- Negative-space plate. The fruit is the paper, the dish is the ink.
- Cores and pips showing. Drawn as real fruit, halved.
- Reads across a room. Strong blue and yellow, no fussy detail.
- Made to order. Printed after you buy, colour-managed, never warehoused.
Sizes and materials
- Paper — archival matte, rolled and unframed. Thirteen sizes in all: 8" x 12" through 30" x 40", plus A4–A1.
- Matte canvas — stretched on a wooden bar, no glare, ready to hang. 12" x 16" to 30" x 40".
- Framed canvas — solid wood floating frame in white, black, espresso or natural. 12" x 16" to 30" x 40".
- Pigment-based archival inks, rated to resist fading for decades indoors.
Styling it at home
The solid blue gives this print real weight, so it holds a wall alone and survives being hung small. It suits a kitchen, a breakfast corner or a dining wall with wood in the room. Natural oak keeps the cream ground warm; a white frame gives the blue somewhere to breathe.
Shipping and care
Unframed prints ship rolled in a protective tube. Framed canvas arrives ready to hang. Keep prints out of direct sunlight to protect the colour, and dust canvas with a dry, soft cloth.

Print & materials
Every design is made to order on one of three materials:
- Fine art paper — thick archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks. The choice if you already own a frame.
- Matte canvas — gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box. No glass, no glare.
- Framed canvas in white, black, espresso or natural wood — a slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted. Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms; white and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
Sizes run from 8 x 12 inches up to large statement pieces, plus A4, A3, A2 and A1 for standard European frames. The exact sizes available for this design are listed in the Size menu above.

Three ways to print it.
Same artwork, same colour-managed printing — the material decides how it hangs and how much wall it holds.
Fine art paper
Thick archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks.
- The most affordable option, and the one to pick if you already own a frame.
- Reads slightly softer than canvas.
- Ships rolled in a rigid tube.
Matte canvas
Gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box.
- No glass, so no glare — good for bright rooms.
- Holds a touch more contrast than paper.
- Boxed with corner guards.
Framed canvas
A slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted, in white, black, espresso or natural wood.
- Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms.
- White and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
- The usual choice for a feature wall — nothing to assemble.
