A Zion National Park vintage travel poster, printed full bleed: the sheer sandstone monoliths of the Court of the Patriarchs rising between rust-red canyon walls, under a deep teal sky, with dark pines, cottonwoods and a jade river at the foot. White lettering reads ESTABLISHED NOVEMBER 19, 1919 across the top and ZION NATIONAL PARK over the water, beside the National Park Service bison seal.
About the artwork
This is the WPA park poster idea pushed toward drama. The cliffs are built from fine vertical hatching that catches light on one face and drops the other into shade, the pale tops of the far peaks glow against the dark sky, and the canyon narrows as it recedes, so the eye is pulled up and back rather than across. Nothing frames the scene: with no printed border the rock runs straight to the edge of the sheet, and the title sits right on the river instead of in a separate band — which is why this poster feels closer and cooler than the classic bordered originals.
Why you'll love it
- Moody rather than sunny. The dark sky and deep greens suit rooms with lower light, dark walls or a lot of wood.
- Full bleed. No printed margin to fight with a mat or a frame.
- Standard poster proportions. The 2:3 sizes drop straight into ready-made frames, from 8" x 12" to 24" x 36".
- Made to order. Printed after you buy, color-managed, never warehoused.
Sizes and materials
- Paper — archival matte, rolled and unframed. Nine sizes in all: 8" x 12" through 24" x 36", plus A4–A1.
- Matte canvas — stretched on a wooden bar, no glare, ready to hang. 12" x 18" to 24" x 36".
- Framed canvas — solid wood floating frame in white, black, espresso or natural. 12" x 18" to 24" x 36".
- Pigment-based archival inks, rated to resist fading for decades indoors.
Styling it at home
The teal sky and forest greens are the unusual notes here, so lean into them: navy, forest or charcoal walls, leather, dark walnut. On a white wall it becomes a strong focal point, and next to the sunnier Watchman poster it reads as the evening half of a pair. Natural oak keeps it from getting heavy; black makes it more graphic.
Shipping and care
Unframed prints ship rolled in a protective tube. Framed canvas arrives ready to hang. Keep prints out of direct sunlight to protect the color, and dust canvas with a dry, soft cloth.
Questions people ask
What size should I get? 16" x 24" and up if it hangs alone; 12" x 18" works inside a gallery wall of several parks.
Does it come framed? Paper prints ship unframed and fit standard frames. Choose a framed canvas if you would rather skip the framing shop.
How is this different from your other Zion prints? This is the full-bleed poster of the big canyon walls under a dark teal sky. The WPA poster of the Watchman is a brighter design with a cream border and the park’s coordinates; the screen print, retro, watercolor, oil and illustrated Zion prints are separate designs too.
Print & materials
Every design is made to order on one of three materials:
- Fine art paper — thick archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks. The choice if you already own a frame.
- Matte canvas — gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box. No glass, no glare.
- Framed canvas in white, black, espresso or natural wood — a slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted. Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms; white and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
Sizes run from 8 x 12 inches up to large statement pieces, plus A4, A3, A2 and A1 for standard European frames. The exact sizes available for this design are listed in the Size menu above.

Materials
Three ways to print it.
Same artwork, same colour-managed printing — the material decides how it hangs and how much wall it holds.
Fine art paper
Thick archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks.
- The most affordable option, and the one to pick if you already own a frame.
- Reads slightly softer than canvas.
- Ships rolled in a rigid tube.
Matte canvas
Gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box.
- No glass, so no glare — good for bright rooms.
- Holds a touch more contrast than paper.
- Boxed with corner guards.
Framed canvas
A slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted, in white, black, espresso or natural wood.
- Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms.
- White and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
- The usual choice for a feature wall — nothing to assemble.
