A Zion National Park retro art print: the Virgin River winding up through a green valley of cottonwoods below red and salmon sandstone peaks, with sandy banks and cream clouds in a deep blue sky. The title, ZION, sits low in bold cream capitals above a small NATIONAL PARK · UTAH · EST 1919 line.
About the artwork
Because you walk up Zion rather than look down into it, the picture is built from the valley floor: river and cottonwoods in front, sandstone rising behind. The river enters at the lower right and winds toward the cliffs. Zion was the first national park in Utah.
Why you'll love it
- Reads from across the room. Bold shapes and big lettering hold up in a hallway or at the far end of a room.
- Thirteen sizes. Small enough for a bookshelf, large enough to anchor a bedroom wall.
- Part of a matching set. Every retro park print shares the same painted texture and cream title lockup, so any mix of parks hangs together.
- Made to order. Printed after you buy, color-managed, never warehoused.
Sizes and materials
- Paper — archival matte, rolled and unframed. Thirteen sizes in all: 8" x 12" through 30" x 40", plus A4–A1.
- Matte canvas — stretched on a wooden bar, no glare, ready to hang. 12" x 16" to 30" x 40".
- Framed canvas — solid wood floating frame in white, black, espresso or natural. 12" x 16" to 30" x 40".
- Pigment-based archival inks, rated to resist fading for decades indoors.
Styling it at home
Because the canyon rises from the bottom of the frame, it wants to hang a little lower than usual — over a console or a desk, where it meets you at eye level. The red and cream pair naturally with rust, tan leather and warm oak; a black frame gives the retro palette a sharper, more graphic edge.
Shipping and care
Unframed prints ship rolled in a protective tube. Framed canvas arrives ready to hang. Keep prints out of direct sunlight to protect the color, and dust canvas with a dry, soft cloth.
Questions people ask
What size should I get? 12" x 18" or 16" x 24" for a gallery wall or above a desk; 24" x 36" or larger above a sofa, mantel or bed.
Does it come framed? Paper prints ship unframed and fit standard frames. Choose a framed canvas if you would rather skip the framing shop.
How is this different from your other Zion prints? This is the painterly retro print: the Virgin River below red sandstone peaks, with the park name in spaced cream capitals. The vintage travel poster, WPA, screen print, mid-century, panoramic, oil, watercolor, illustrated and landmark Zion prints are separate designs.
Print & materials
Every design is made to order on one of three materials:
- Fine art paper — thick archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks. The choice if you already own a frame.
- Matte canvas — gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box. No glass, no glare.
- Framed canvas in white, black, espresso or natural wood — a slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted. Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms; white and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
Sizes run from 8 x 12 inches up to large statement pieces, plus A4, A3, A2 and A1 for standard European frames. The exact sizes available for this design are listed in the Size menu above.

Materials
Three ways to print it.
Same artwork, same colour-managed printing — the material decides how it hangs and how much wall it holds.
Fine art paper
Thick archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks.
- The most affordable option, and the one to pick if you already own a frame.
- Reads slightly softer than canvas.
- Ships rolled in a rigid tube.
Matte canvas
Gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box.
- No glass, so no glare — good for bright rooms.
- Holds a touch more contrast than paper.
- Boxed with corner guards.
Framed canvas
A slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted, in white, black, espresso or natural wood.
- Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms.
- White and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
- The usual choice for a feature wall — nothing to assemble.
