A Venice travel poster of a side canal at the end of the day: gondolas working the water between coral and cream palazzi, a campanile closing the view, and the whole scene held in the pink-gold light that Venice turns for about twenty minutes each evening.
About the artwork
The softest palette in the collection, and the only one built on pink. Facades are drawn in dusty coral, faded rose and cream; the water beneath them is a cool jade that takes the pink back as broken vertical reflections. Gothic window tracery and iron balconies are picked out along both banks, and mooring poles lean at their real angles rather than standing straight. Four gondolas at different distances build the depth, each with its hull line and curved iron prow drawn cleanly. The sky is a warm apricot wash with flat cloud bars. Title in wide-tracked uppercase with Italy beneath. Portrait, 2:3.
Why you'll love it
- Pink that is not sweet. Dusty coral against jade water reads as faded and grand rather than pretty.
- Quiet Venice, not tourist Venice. A working side canal instead of the Grand Canal or St Mark's.
- Made to order. Printed after you buy, colour-managed, never warehoused.
Sizes and materials
- Paper — archival matte, rolled and unframed. Nine sizes from 8" x 12" to 30" x 40", plus A4–A1 for European frames.
- Matte canvas — stretched on a wooden bar, no glare, ready to hang.
- Framed canvas — solid wood floating frame in white, black, espresso or natural.
- Pigment-based archival inks, rated to resist fading for decades indoors.
Styling it at home
The muted coral makes this the most obvious bedroom print in the series — it is warm, low contrast, and it reads softly from across a room. It sits beautifully on cream, blush and warm white walls, and pairs with linen, aged brass and walnut. In a gold or espresso frame it turns quite classical; in white it stays airy. Avoid cool grey walls, which drain the pink.
Shipping and care
Unframed prints ship rolled in a protective tube. Framed canvas arrives ready to hang. Keep prints out of direct sunlight to protect the colour, and dust canvas with a dry, soft cloth.
Questions people ask
What size should I get? Above a console or desk, 12" x 18" or 16" x 24". Above a bed, 24" x 36" or larger.
Does it come framed? Paper prints ship unframed and fit standard frames. Choose a framed canvas if you would rather skip the framing shop.
Which canal is it? A quiet residential rio rather than a named landmark — the kind of canal you find by getting lost.
Print & materials
Every design is made to order on one of three materials:
- Fine art paper — thick archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks. The choice if you already own a frame.
- Matte canvas — gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box. No glass, no glare.
- Framed canvas in white, black, espresso or natural wood — a slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted. Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms; white and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
Sizes run from 8 x 12 inches up to large statement pieces, plus A4, A3, A2 and A1 for standard European frames. The exact sizes available for this design are listed in the Size menu above.

Materials
Three ways to print it.
Same artwork, same colour-managed printing — the material decides how it hangs and how much wall it holds.
Fine art paper
Thick archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks.
- The most affordable option, and the one to pick if you already own a frame.
- Reads slightly softer than canvas.
- Ships rolled in a rigid tube.
Matte canvas
Gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box.
- No glass, so no glare — good for bright rooms.
- Holds a touch more contrast than paper.
- Boxed with corner guards.
Framed canvas
A slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted, in white, black, espresso or natural wood.
- Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms.
- White and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
- The usual choice for a feature wall — nothing to assemble.
