A Venice Beach boardwalk poster looking north from the sand. The concrete skatepark bowl cuts into the left foreground, the paved path runs away to the right with small figures walking and cycling along it, and a row of tall Washingtonia palms leans over the low buildings behind. Open sand fills the bottom half of the frame, and the ocean shows as a thin blue band at the right horizon.
About the artwork
Hard-edged vector shapes with dry, streaked hatching used to give the sand and concrete their grain. The palette is wide but ordered: cyan sky graded lighter toward the horizon, apricot and cream in the sand, cool teal in the shaded bowl, then a row of saturated building colours — turquoise, magenta, coral and ochre — carrying the mural walls. Palm crowns are drawn as layered fronds in two greens over rust-brown trunks. The people are three or four pixels of red and blue each, deliberately small. Type sits at the top in white sans-serif capitals: LOS ANGELES, with CALIFORNIA smaller beneath. Portrait, 2:3.
Why you'll love it
- The boardwalk as it actually looks — skate bowl, murals and sand, not a generic palm-and-sunset beach print.
- Colour with somewhere to rest — the loud mural wall is balanced by an enormous quiet field of sand.
- Depth without a horizon trick — the shrinking figures along the path do the work of distance.
- Warm all year — apricot and cyan keep the print feeling like midday in July regardless of the season outside.
Sizes and materials
- Paper — archival matte, rolled and unframed. Nine sizes from 8" x 12" to 30" x 40", plus A4-A1 for European frames.
- Matte canvas — stretched on a wooden bar, no glare, ready to hang.
- Framed canvas — solid wood floating frame in white, black, espresso or natural.
- Pigment-based archival inks, rated to resist fading for decades indoors.
Styling it at home
The apricot sand and cyan sky make this an easy fit for warm neutral rooms — cream, sand, pale clay walls. It sits especially well in the sunlit wood-grain room shown in the photographs above, where the palms pick up the timber. On a cooler wall the turquoise building keeps it anchored. Natural oak framing is the obvious partner; white framing lets the mural colours run.
Shipping and care
Unframed prints ship rolled in a protective tube. Framed canvas arrives ready to hang. Keep prints out of direct sunlight to protect the colour, and dust canvas with a dry, soft cloth.
Questions people ask
What size should I get? The tiny figures and mural detail read better large. Choose 20" x 30" or bigger for a main wall, 12" x 18" for a hallway or shelf.
Does it come framed? Paper and matte canvas ship unframed. The framed canvas option arrives in a solid wood floating frame, wired and ready to hang.
What does the poster say? The printed text reads LOS ANGELES with CALIFORNIA beneath it. Venice Beach is not named on the artwork itself, and the murals are drawn as abstract colour with no readable lettering.
Print & materials
Every design is made to order on one of three materials:
- Fine art paper — thick archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks. The choice if you already own a frame.
- Matte canvas — gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box. No glass, no glare.
- Framed canvas in white, black, espresso or natural wood — a slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted. Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms; white and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
Sizes run from 8 x 12 inches up to large statement pieces, plus A4, A3, A2 and A1 for standard European frames. The exact sizes available for this design are listed in the Size menu above.

Materials
Three ways to print it.
Same artwork, same colour-managed printing — the material decides how it hangs and how much wall it holds.
Fine art paper
Thick archival gallery-grade paper with a smooth matte finish, printed with fade-resistant pigment inks.
- The most affordable option, and the one to pick if you already own a frame.
- Reads slightly softer than canvas.
- Ships rolled in a rigid tube.
Matte canvas
Gallery-wrapped over a solid wood stretcher, ready to hang straight out of the box.
- No glass, so no glare — good for bright rooms.
- Holds a touch more contrast than paper.
- Boxed with corner guards.
Framed canvas
A slim solid-wood floating frame with the hanging hardware already fitted, in white, black, espresso or natural wood.
- Natural and espresso suit warm, timber-heavy rooms.
- White and black sit better in minimalist and monochrome spaces.
- The usual choice for a feature wall — nothing to assemble.
